And the Red Sox were down 1 run in the bottom of the 9th inning, 3 outs away from elimination of the playoffs, batting against the greatest post-season closer in mlb history, before tying the game and going into extra innings, eventually winning the game and the next 3 advance to the world series (and then win that.)

This was the greatest post-season comeback in major sports history imo.

The 2004 Red Sox had 98 wins which was 2nd most in the League (3 behind NY) and 3rd best out of the 8 teams that it to the MLB playoffs. They were an offensive juggernaut that scored 51 more runs than the Yankees that year. While it was a great comeback, they were easily the best offensive team in baseball and won games by football scores.

The 2010 Flyers were tied for 20th of 32 in the NHL and grabbed the 2nd to last spot in the playoffs on a penalty shot. While the Bruins weren't great, they still had the best regular season goalie in the league (Rask: http://www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/NHL_2010_leaders.html ) and the Flyers were missing 3 starters.

I'm here by Wrigley Field.

It was absolutely insane, seemed like the entire city was out in the streets.

Didn't subside till close to 4am.

Parade is tomorrow morning 10:30am downtown.

Enjoy the parade tomorrow!!!!

Even though my team lost it was a great series and a very memorable post season!!

It was an awesome series, no matter who your team is. I just hope the Flyers can get back and win it next year.

You have to be really excited if you're a Hawks fan. That is a great team, and it's driven by young talent. It's not a team full of aging vets making one last run. You guys should dominate the West for years to come.

Enjoy being the champs for an entire offseason. I remember how it felt when the Phils won the '08 series. First championship in my lifetime (other than the 83 sixers, which is a sport i dont watch and i was 2 at the time). As a fan, it's a really cool feeling. Makes putting up with perennial disappointment worth it. Chicago fans have to know exactly what I'm talking about. Pretty cool, isn't it?

For one night, they get to mask the pain, and forget that they live in Chicago.

Pain, lol. Chicago won an NFL champ in 1985, the best basketball team for almost all the 90's, and a baseball champ in 2005. They're not exactly hurting for champions... unless you only follow hockey and the Cubbies.

So glad the Philly Goons and their ugly fans didn't win the cup. That's what you guys get for stealing our "Ole Ole" chant. Also good for Sissy Briere who didn't want to sign in Montreal because he wanted to go hide behind the goons in Philadelphia.

Habs did all the dirty work in the East, they deserved to be in the final but were too small and tired in their series against Philly. Nobody in the East was beating Chicago anyways.

Oh well city of Philadelphia, you'll always have Rocky!

That was a long bump.

Congrats Hank, hopefully next years playoff run will go well now that the Hawks have lost buff.

Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle for the Oil, sounds good.
