And the Red Sox were down 1 run in the bottom of the 9th inning, 3 outs away from elimination of the playoffs, batting against the greatest post-season closer in mlb history, before tying the game and going into extra innings, eventually winning the game and the next 3 advance to the world series (and then win that.)
This was the greatest post-season comeback in major sports history imo.
The 2004 Red Sox had 98 wins which was 2nd most in the League (3 behind NY) and 3rd best out of the 8 teams that it to the MLB playoffs. They were an offensive juggernaut that scored 51 more runs than the Yankees that year. While it was a great comeback, they were easily the best offensive team in baseball and won games by football scores.

The 2010 Flyers were tied for 20th of 32 in the NHL and grabbed the 2nd to last spot in the playoffs on a penalty shot. While the Bruins weren't great, they still had the best regular season goalie in the league (Rask: http://www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/NHL_2010_leaders.html ) and the Flyers were missing 3 starters.
