Kudos to the Oilers.
It was a pretty good game otherwise besides the Oilers winning

thought i'd dig this up... I ended up trading Zednik for T. White (MIN), which ended up being a bad trade, imho. I have 1 trade left before Jan 1st... I'm thinking of dropping either White or Legwand. Not sure who I would pick up yet. I was thinking Jarret Stoll, but someone snatched him last weekend.Originally posted by: rh71
Why are you picking Savard ahead of all those other guys ?Originally posted by: meltdown75
hi guys
critique my fantasy team. picks in order of round. points pool only.
11th pick overall to start:
1) Jagr
2) Savard
3) Satan
4) Bondra
5) Selanne
6) Legwand
7) Shanahan
8) Zednik
9) H. Sedin
10) Horcoff
BTW, Zednik rocks.
Thornton is currently 13th in league scoring, and he missed games at the beginning of the season. I don't get this deal, I really don't; Sturm is OK but Primeau and Stuart suck.Originally posted by: Insane3D
I'm surprised too, but I'm glad to see him go. I think if the deal included Marleau it would have been better, but oh well. The B's are finished anyhow...
If any of you guys watched Thornton this year game in and game out...you might understand this trade. Almost every single game he coasts out there...and he has zero mean streak. I mean, with all the bad penalties the B's take this year, Thornton only has 4 minutes...
Oh well, maybe after a few years of being in the cellar, we can end of up like Ottawa did when they used to suck hardcore...
*shrug*
Oh, also, here's a comment by him that is classic...
Thornton -- now 26 -- believed he was playing the best hockey of his pro career.
''I felt like I was playing well, I was playing consistent," he said, ''but it just wasn't good enough."
Best hockey of his pro career?

Well Cheechoo and Thornton have already hooked up for two goals tonight and SJ is killing the Sabres 5-0.

Well, I hope you saw that game melty...was one of the best end to end games I've seen in awhile...both teams had their chances...the refs put the whistle away in the 3rd too...
Oh, and Tanabe scores with under a minute left in OT to win the game 5-4!!!
