Nice. I took Anaheim and Edmonton in my pool to make it to the Western final. Looks like I'm guaranteed a team in the Stanley Cup Final.

Then again, I had taken NJ and Ottawa in the East. So I guess I have no one going on there.

Edmonton is outplaying San Jose currently. I'd love to see this one go to seven and have edmonton take it.
The Oilers are playing a better balanced game.

Yes, I agree that Edmonton is playing a better game than SJ is. I expect to see some changes in the line up for tomorrow's game. Expect to see the Sharks come out hitting hard in the first to set the tempo at Rexall.

BTW - I was so disgusted at the fact that the so called "fans" at the Shark Tank boo'ed the Canadian National Anthem. These are the same "fans" that left the game with 5 minutes left. These idiots didn't even realize that there were 10 Canadian players on the Shark's roster that night. :roll:

What do you expect from American fans? They probably don't realize that the vast majority of NHL players arn't even from America.

Edmonton has been outshooting the sharks bigtime, they just can't slam it home. Toskala is a big factor in the series, the same goes for Roloson.
The Oilers have a chance at a big upset in this series if the Sharks don't come out and play like they really want it. They need their top two men to score a few goals and really shut it down for the Oilers.

I think they were just booing the Oilers. I wouldn't read into it much. Just a knee-jerk reaction in my opinion... Edmonton = Canada = boo the anthem. I'm sure they don't hate Canada... well... at least you would hope not

As for the hockey, I stayed up that time until it was 6-3. Tomorrow the game starts @ 8 so I won't have to stay up so late to watch it.

Best of luck to your team - I know how you feel and you just wish the Sharks would play to their potential. If they do, obviously we will be heading back to the Shark tank for a wicked & wild game 7. Cheers buddy, may the best team win tomorrow and above all let's hope for some GOOD HOCKEY!

Yeah, at this point in the playoffs, there are no real upsets left. Oilers beating the Sharks isn't an upset. Any outcome of the Ducks vs Oilers/Sharks or the Sabres/'canes won't be an upset either. Best of luck to all the remaining teams.

On a side note, I got tickets for Sabres game 3.
They sold out in 12 minutes. While there are thousands of 100 and 200 level seats left in North Carolina.

Now, I know the San Jose fans are not going to agree, but I've spent many years watching Thornton in the playoffs and regular season, and he always does the same thing. During the regular season when the intensity is not as high, he does great....same thing with international tournaments. However, when it comes to the playoffs, he just seems to be unwilling to play with passion. Watch how many times you see him get in a scrum, or fight for a spot in front of the net, or do anything other than go behind the net and try to make a pass...it rarely happens. I also noticed in the last two games, he seems unwilling to chase the puck into the corners since he knows he's going to get hit.

Thornton has always been extremely talented, but he just never seems to display the passion you need in the playoffs, and seems to be unwilling to play the grinding style you need in the playoffs.

I said it before the playoffs started....watch Thornton in the playoffs.

A buddy of mine used to call him a 235lb Craig Janney...
