Ah Caelid, that was a brutal area to get warped into without any warning in the early game. It's more like midgame than late game though. I actually played through there before going north to face Margit in my first playthrough lol and it was hard AF. South from the beginning is by far the easiest part of the game if you're having trouble going north or east.I also got warped to some area that seems to be part of the late game. I managed to kill an enemy and get a drop for weapon upgrading that's a tier 5 item when I'm still using tier 2 items to upgrade my weapon. It was kind of fun just trying to figure out how to escape and in doing so I learned you could dodge roll evade magic, so it wasn't a completely bad experience either.
There's still some bosses I've encountered that I haven't cleared, but I've figured out that the game doesn't expect you to be able to beat everything right away and that it's perfectly fine putting something in your way that is better fought later. I'm assuming skilled players can beat them from the start of the game, but I'm not there yet.
Nah don't assume that. I played Elden Ring after having put a ton of hours into beating Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Demons Souls, Nioh, and Sekiro and got cocky and thought I'll just fight everyone in Elden Ring right away. Got to the Tree Sentinel right at the beginning of the game and could only get him down to 1/3 of his health bar on my best attempts right after taking the elevator up into the open world and finally decided to save him for later after dying about 30 times lol.
