As someone who doesn't have much nostalgia for Nintendo characters nor a fondness for fighting games, I really don't see the big deal with this title. I've played the N64 and Gamecube versions, and they're both OK. Maybe I'm a bit jaded as my friend was really good at the N64 version and always beat my ass, but still, aside from being a decent fighting game with recognizable characters, there isn't much to it.

I think the biggest selling point really comes from all of the people who grew up with these characters and the "oh my god, I get fight Mario vs. Link!" appeal. It's just a giant fan service. I'd like to know if the people who are bored with these characters, such as myself, are interested in this game.

The biggest selling point of this game is the fact that there were no good games to buy for the Wii. now there's ONE game and everyone has to buy it. Then another year of buying no games.

And I'm sure when the next big game comes along (of which wii has had many), I'nm sure you'll be right there to say in ignorance "the wii finally has a single good game", and so on, ad nauseum.

Theres three great consoles out there, all with their exclusive and unique reasons to buy each, and instead of being happy about the situation, people seem to find more comfort in shitting on the systems they don't own instead of joining in on the fun.

Yup, exactly. I bought SSBB for the multiplayer experience. For single player I'd take my Zelda: TP, Mario Galaxy, or Metroid Prime 3 over SSBB any day - each game of which was pretty much touted as 'the game to get for wii'

Problem is people can't afford all 3 consoles and a PC so they feel they have to pick a side and defend it to the death to defend their purchasing decision.

It would be cool if you could adjust the frequency of specific items, so I could just turn solely final smashes on low, while keeping the rest of the items on medium.

I turned them off after 2 days. Like you said, they appear way too often, and the whole match was more or less decided upon who got them - and some characters have a much easier time at that, too. 1 or 2 times a match would be prime.

Any B&M store still sell the GC controller? I don't need the wavebird, the wired one will do. Only place I've looked is amazon.

I'm sure you can find them used in most Gamestops.

Anyone have any tips on how I can find people online to play? 50+ minutes with 3 "seekings" on the screen.
Been like this since I got the game 3 weeks ago. Followed the guides on setting up the router. Mario Kart works fine online, 360 works fine. This game, does not.
I've been filing out this form every day, yet to see any fix. http://www.nintendo.com/consum...ast_wfc_other_form.jsp
