All of that happened 20 years before ANH, so I'm sure he remembered the events in general, but maybe his memories were vague (?) I don't think he ever had a scene with Yoda in 4-6. Maybe it was a 'past' life that he didn't want to remember.

It could be that Jedi were common back then and Chewie doesn't think about Yoda specifically. In the movies, the only one that knows that Luke knows Yoda is R2-D2.

Uh, you don't need wings in space. They are useless in a vacuum. They would only be useful in the atmosphere. So unless he had thrust vectoring on the edge of his wings it wouldn't matter.

And for the same reason, those funny little droids that were attacking his wings shouldn't have flown off like they did when Anakin nudged them with his wing, they should have gone up and away but maintained their forward velocity.

I didnt read the whole thread, but I have a question, how come only obi-wan and yoda dissapeer when they die? Yoda says like a sentence about it at the end about teaching obi-wan to be immortal but why would he only tell obi-wan and not the rest of the jedi? Wasnt obi-wan like the weakest one? Also he says that qui-gon guy knew too but why didnt that qui-gon guy disapeer when he died?

As hate-deserving as he was, Jar Jar was hardly the worst thing in that steaming pile o bantha dung. Or in the entire prequel trilogy for that matter. Don't get me wrong, this trilogy had its moments of sheer brilliance, but there's simply no getting over Lucas's cheapening and prostitution of his own legacy. Still, a closure is a closure. And good riddance.

In ep. II Anakin tells Padme he is grateful for Obi Wan's teachings because "he's as wise as Master Yoda and as powerful as Master Windu." Deffinately not the weakest jedi.

It could be because at the time they did not have a change to focus their force into transferring their body to the force.

Obi wan had the time when he raised his weapon and so did yoda as he was slowly dieing from age.

None of the others really had the time to do it.

 

Anyone know if the Stormtroopers in E 4, 5, 6 are clones? Did Lucas change their voice to Jango Fett's on the DVD (like he did with Boba Fett).

I think Yoda is obi-wan's mentor.

Who cares? It didn't really allow Obi-Wan to do anything he couldn't have done with a radio. I never understood the point of the whole 'Im a ghost BOO use the force Luke!' when he could have still been around to directly help and could have said 'use the force' over the radio.

They are not clones according to the books. ps changing boba fett's voice = horrible move

Guys, I'll chime in.. Revenge of the Sith was the WORST movie out of the six.
The acting was horrible, you never get a real feel for why Anakin joins the Dark Side. He's basically a whiny ass bitch that goes from being on the fence to "Yes my Master" like a brainwashed fool. The character "development" and "love" scenes" were pathetic, except for the Emperor, who was the only character that was enjoyable to watch.
But worst of all, my view of Vader will forever be dimished, when he screamed "Nooooooooo" like a little girl, I didn't know whether to laugh or to laugh.. I thought I was watching Scary Movie IV.. In the end the "Dark Side" is ruled by a silly little kid who misses his dead mommy and decided it was ok to kill off all the Jedi to protect his wife of 8 months. Darth "Lover Boy" Vader brought "peace" and went from being a little nitwit full of anger to a power hungry dictator all within 30 minutes.. Not believable and not very good.

Nice rant but he was always power hungry. The love scenes were a little too much but it explains why vader did what he did. I agree that his journey to the dark side was a tad bit rushed

 

I would rate them:

1) ESB
2) ANH
3) RoTJ
4) RoTS
5) AotC
6) TPM

The Emperor was 100x better in RoTJ. Best line in a SW movie:

"Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design. Your friends, up there on the sanctuary moon, are walking into a trap, as is your Rebel fleet. It was *I* who allowed the Alliance to know the location of the shield generator. It is quite safe from your pitiful little band. An entire legion of my best troops awaits them. Oh, I'm afraid the deflector shield will be quite operational when your friends arrive."

can someone clear something up for me? Who was Sipher Dias who ordered the clone army? Was it Sidious pretending to be a jedi (The names are very similar). Was Sipher Dias a jedi who was impersonated by Dooku or Sidious?

Also, in EP II, when Obi Wan is captured, why does Dooku reveal all that info about the Republic being run by the Sith?

Uncle George Keen on New Star Wars Prequel?
Cinescape is reporting a rumor that was sent to them by one of their scoopers. In short Uncle George wants another prequel prior to Menace. But is there any truth to these rumors?

I had to once again call our "sources" at the Ranch to see if there has been any talk about other "prequels". Our contacts have been dead on regarding the Star Wars TV series including the fact that it was two and not just one and that there was plans for animated and live action. So what about another batch of films?

"Lucasfilm is concentrating on both the live action and animated TV series and there is currently no official work or talk on other films," said one of our sources. The key word was "official", so what about unofficial talk about other films? "Plenty of it," says our contact.

The belief over at Lucasfilm is that the Star Wars TV series will spawn off a whole new batch of films. Not just new trilogies but it could be just a stand alone film from a certain storyline.

What timeline? They know that the main storyline for the TV series will take place between Sith and New Hope but there is talk that there will be flashback episodes/scenes that will take us back 800 to 1000 years before the Skywalkers.

Our earlier reports that any actor that becomes involved in the TV series will have their contracts option for films is dead on according to our sources.According to one of our others contacts at 20th Century Fox who prefers to remain anonymous believes that Fox is expected to start applying pressure on Lucasfilm to agree to have more films made in the not so distant future. "With the amazing opening weekend that Sith has has had there is no doubt that we are barely tapping the ice burg that Star Wars truly is" said our contact.

One question does remain, how much pressure can a distributor apply to a completely independent filmmaker such as Lucasfilm? Not much but they can definitely try.
