Another bit of comedy in the movie was when Obi goes to visit Padame after finding out that Anakin has turned towards the Dark Side. As he is leaving he gives her a long stare and says something to the effect of, "Anakin is the father, isn't he?"...

For a second I thought I was watching Star Wars in the Hood, or Guess My Baby Daddy Star Wars edition.. The royal padame, pregnant and soon to give birth with nobody knowing who the baby daddy was It was another sad attempt at dialogue and acting, but it failed miserably, like most of the plot and acting..

I think there's something that people aren't understanding when they say that Anakin has no reason to turn to the Dark Side after Padme's death.

Anakin's reason for turning to the Dark Side is that he wants more power. He wants to rule the galaxy. Palpitine's offer to teach him how to save Padme's life is simply the justification that Anakin uses to do what he wants to do but knows is wrong. Anakin even tries to get both Padme and Luke to help him overthrow the Emperor so that he/they can rule together.

Once Padme has died, he continues because it doesn't really affect his true aim. He wants to learn more, the Emperor can teach him more, and the Jedis cannot/will not.

This is why the descent seems so fast but truly isn't. Palpitine spends 2 movies telling Anakin that he can learn more/become more powerful from the Dark Side than the Jedi. Anakin spends 2 movies slowly getting twisted into believing this. Then the Emperor finds the fulcrum that tips the scales into his favour - appealing to Anakin's 'good side'. Once that balance has tipped, it takes Luke's impending death to tip it back - Anakin has gone too far.

Yoda mentioned that the prophecy could have been misread. Anakin, in a way, did bring balance to the force. 2 Jedi's and 2 Sith Lords.

Quote from episode 2: I will even learn how to stop people from dying...I will be the most powerful jedi ever (sob)

quote from original trilogy (episode 5?): don't take the "quick and easy path," as Vader did.

I guess Anakin let his emotions get the better of him

Exactly. He was the chosen one. He just went about fulfilling his destiny in a roundabout way.

From the first draft of the Star Wars script:

"... And in the time of greatest
despair there shall come a savior,
and he shall be known as: THE SON
OF THE SUNS."

Also, in EP II, when Obi Wan is captured, why does Dooku reveal all that info about the Republic being run by the Sith?

does anyone have some insight to my questions? thx.

From what I've read over at TheForce.net, the forum members concluded to this idea.
Sipho Dias was a Jedi who was killed by Dooku. Dooku used the name Sipho Dias to order the clone army. Dooku had been working for the Emperor when he did that.

Also, if you can remember in Attack of the Clones, Jango Fett, when talking to Obi-Wan, said he was recruited by a man named (Darth) Tyranus, which is Dooku's Sith name. 4th paragragh, last sentence. Which is also mention "Tyranus" when he escapes from Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin and goes to Corusant to meet the Emperor. The Emperor also says his Sith name.

Not 100% on the last question you have, but going on this theory. A Sith apprentice will try to always over throw it's Sith master. Emperor did this to his (talked about in EP 3), Vader talker about in Return of the Jedi with Luke.

So, Dooku talke about it to Obi-Wan about in Attack of the Clones, then Dooku would be the Sith master and Obi-Wan would be the Sith apprentice.

Yes, they are clones. No Lucas didn't change the voices of Storm Troopers in the Original Triology.

According to some of the books, they're not clones. And think of it this way. The clones in the prequels are clones of Jango who is around 35-40 years old maybe. If episodes 4-6 occurr ~20 years later, then the clones would be almost in their 60s. Unless they're still cloning Jango, I dunno.

In ep4 why does Obi Wan not recognize C3PO or R2D2. He claims that he does not "recall ever owning any droids" He did not own them but he sure as hell spent a hell of alot of time with them not to recognize them.
