Yea Clarkson seems to have abandoned units in recent eps - 'tourqes', 'powers', etc.

Damn it....I'm missing too many episodes.

I was just sitting around waiting for the episode to start yesterday, and then when I realized what time it was, it was ten minutes before the show was about to end.

What are the HTTP options? I can't access FTPs.

Why not? And who hosts TV shows on FTP servers anyway?

You need the torrents.

This is fun game I like to play: Monday morning, go to news.google.com and search for Top Gear. I think 4 out of 5 Mondays this season there has been an "outrage" toward Top Gear.

Get this: Link to the Guardian
Viewers complain over Top Gear train crash

The BBC has received scores of complaints after deciding to screen a mock rail crash on last night's Top Gear despite Friday's Cumbrian train derailment in which one person died.

The segment saw presenter Jeremy Clarkson leave a people carrier on a level crossing in Lincolnshire as an unmanned 107-tonne diesel engine crashed into it.

The BBC said this morning that 43 people had complained while Ofcom said it had received three calls.

The episode pulled in 7.4 million viewers and a 28% audience share.

---------------------------

So, scores of complaints = 46 total complaints out of 7.4 million viewers?!?
Scores now equals 0.00000621621%

The UK must have some touchy people.

I'm not a very PC person, so I find this stuff entertaining. Try it next Monday!

I enjoyed the ep, especially the ribbing that JC got from May and Hamster. That Lambo is rockin!!! I liked the drag with the GTI ... a good way to show how freaking fast it is. Hammond and that tractor in the little town cracked me up!

doh! last episode!

i like how hamster didn't explain that drive train losses don't figure into quoted horsepower when he said it isn't quite a GT500, and so the car was making well over 500.

I don't see whats the big deal anyway. whp is never same as stated hp.

Anyway, the problem is not lie in that 50 hp loss, but rather those ancient suspension they have on the GT500.

How many of these suckers are Ford making? I wonder if it will become a classic...

I call shens on half the stuff they do. Don't get me wrong, I love Top Gear but I swear they stage so much of that stuff.

Best part for me - Fat Stig!

Yeah, I just watched this episode and was thinking the same thing. I mean, how do you get a job hosting a car show without knowing about parasitic loss? Also, the Stig's driving seems to be inconsistent sometimes.

Definitely an entertaining show to watch, but not really that great of a source for information about cars.

I would not expect an almost 30 year old car to produce the rated hp. They used different test conditions and procedures to mesure horse power back in 1969 than they do today.
