Agreed. I might see it again too.

We are already planning on seeing it again tomorrow.

You saw him flying off into outer space. It was a brief shot right after the credits started.

We sat through the credits too wondering if they were going to show anyone else. A couple of people cursed loudly when there wasn't anything there.

My favorite part was the Camaro literally beating the s**t out of the Mustang. I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed.

Saw it at 11:30 last night. Jeebus christmas did I ever love it. It was full, a whole buncha people that you thought would be a-holes that would talk and be silly during the movie; nobody said a word, so the movie experience was that much greater.

Who else recognized the lines used from the first movie? I had goosebumps during the buildups.

***********SPOILER****************

I have a question if someone can answer ...

Why could bumble bee talk out of nowhere at the end? They didn't explain it when someone said "since when can bumble bee talk?" or something similar to that.

My wife and I were wondering the same thing. The only thing we can think of is when Ratchet briefly did something to him earlier in the movie. Ratchet said he almost had him fixed so...<shrug>

I had two other questions:
1) What happened to the Mt. Dew machine and car that were touched by the All Spark?
2) How come every device that is turned into a Transformer by the All Spark turns into a raging maniac?

I think that was a serious flaw interjected into the story as the All Spark also gave machines their personality as well as life. But with how easy the two camps made extra machines in the series, I wonder why they really needed the All Spark in the first place .

What we need is some of the combining transformers like Compubots, Destructicons, Terrorcons, etc.

I think it might be because of bumble bee messing with the All Spark before they left the S7 base. Perhaps the All Spark can repair as well as create and destroy.

Wow, I'm reading some of the information on wikipedia about the movie and it just shows you how dumb the script writers were (and they were supposedly big fans of the show):

Orci cut the Ark as he wondered, "Why would aliens who moonlight as vehicles need other vehicles to travel inside?"

Because autobots can't fly, you dimwit! Although, I believe for some strange reason, they flew in one episode, but autobots have never been able to fly, unless their transformation was a flying machine (such as Skyfire, the jet). Decepticons were all able to fly in the series in robotic form.

It also seems that Welker did try out for Megatron:

TV series voice actor Frank Welker auditioned, but was rejected for not fitting the new interpretation of the character

Err and actually it was Vector Sigma that gave people their personality, not the All Spark, but that never explained how some transformers were created without ever going to the Vector Sigma on Cybertron.

By the way, how are the toys for the movie? Any good compared to the original toys?

Even beyond that. How come the arctic cold and giant fire extinguishers stop Megatron and
Bumblebee but the cold of space does nothing to any of the Transformers?

I'm not surprised at some of the hackiness of the script because this was kind of a rush project apparently.

I got the "Proto-Form" Optimus Prime for my son. It is actually pretty cool. Nice transformation, pretty solid build, and good articulation/poseability. The only thing I didn't like was the cheesy "flame" on it.

I read that the $10 Bumblebee toy had issues staying together in car form though.

Maybe he can't be stopped in jet form like that? I'd assume the rest of the transformers were "immune" because of the asteroids that they were in.

Well, from what I read on Wiki, it seems they wrote a script, threw it out, hired two new guys, they wrote a script, then had it modified again to add in transformer talk (originally the transformers had no lines at all).

Hmm maybe I'll have to pick up a Starscream or something and if there's a more expensive version, I'll have to pick up one of those to ... avoid that nicely crafted Chinese $10 piece . I still remember being a kid and wanting the $60 Grimlock transformer... man that one was awesome and huge too... I think it was around 11" tall or something like that. My brother ended up buying a lot of the old transformer toys again about 6 years ago, but he ended up leaving them behind when he moved !

The "Leader Class" Optimus is actually pretty cool. Arsdid a review of it last week and were impressed. I think it is in the $40 range.

But yeah, the $20 and up movie figures look a lot cooler than the $10 movie figures.

I never even thought about that but that makes total sense. It creates as well as heals and gives power to. It seems that Bumblebee received some power as well.

****MY POST MAY CONTAIN WHAT YOU WOULD CONSIDER SPOILERS****

Well, I saw it this morning, and I wasn't disappointed. I never watched Transformers as a kid, so the only characters that I knew were Optimus Prime and Megatron. With that said, it was definitely an entertaining movie, although I was less than impressed with all the holes in the movie. For example, when the Camaro and Mustang police car first meet, in the brief few seconds they show the conflict between the two, the Mustang is whipping the ass of the Camaro robot. Then we get the scene with whiny kid and bad-ass girl with a reciprocating saw, then cut back to the fight that they didn't show only to see the Mustang robot lying defeated. Well, ok, whatever, I didn't want to see the fight anyway....... I was also annoyed at the supposed ease of accessing government data and personnel, and how easy people were talked into unfreezing robots because a kid said he was a good robot.

More than halfway through the movie, though, I was getting disappointed that there were absolutely no fighting scenes between the Transformers, but thankfully the last 30 minute of the movie completely takes care of that. And the opening of the movie with the helicopter robot was completely bad-ass, one of the best "explosion" movies ever. And I like the outcome of the ending battle in the city, I wasn't expecting that. Of course, I wasn't expecting anything to be honest, I was too busy taking in the spectacle and trying to keep up with everything.

Overall, a fantastic movie, and I can't wait to buy it on HD-DVD or Blu-ray, whatever it comes out on. Paramount does HD-DVD, right?

EDIT: Oh ya, one of my favorite parts was the XBOX 360 a guy had just bought turning into a robot and sprouting arms out of the box and attacking the guy .

OMG. WTFBBQ.

That was the most exhilarating action movie I have seen in a loooong time. Talk about special effects and action. But the cool thing was Shia Labouf, who did a great job acting and had some great comedic moments. This kid is going to be really good. The guy next to me afterwards said 'Man, that was awesome.' And I think everyone agreed. Damn, great action movie. Great great!

Now that I think about it, Frenzy was healed back into his full form after coming into close proximity to the All Spark. It only makes sense that Bumblebee was healed fully as well.

There was clapping and cheering throughout the movie. Mainly at the climatic parts of the movie. Also at the end everyone pretty much clapped.
