You never saw Scorponok again after he got beaten up on and went underground. I have no clue if he and Blackout reunited before the final battle.

That's a good question about Barricade. I don't recall seeing him after the chase on the freeway. I'm going to see the movie again tomorrow so I'll have to keep a close eye.

I was somewhat disappointed. The movie was awesome, then it sucked and dragged on for about 20 minutes, then it was awesome again. If they could find a way to chop 10-15 minutes from the middle, mainly the worthless Turturro character and the majority of anything else having to do with his agency, then it would be perfect imho.

99% of people couldn't care less about the credits. What happened to him? He was always my favorite as a kid.

99% of people couldn't care less about the credits. What happened to him? He was always my favorite as a kid.

It was right after the credits started. You didn't have to sit all the way through them. He flew off into space.

Did anyone else think that the Glen Whitman / Anthony Anderson / l33T haxor character was completely worthless?

It would have made more sense to me to develop the Australian(?) hacker girl's character more -- give her a backstory or something -- than bring in someone else to essentially fill the same role. They could have had her do anything his charater did. Also, if they would have put her in a bikini for all her scenes it would have been okay with me.

I mean, Anthony Anderson is always funny, but this was something that could have been done better.

Hah we were talkin about how the black transformer was the first to die ... just like in all movies the black guy is always the first to go.

I thought they could have done away with the hacker storyline altogether. It didn't add anything to the film.

Yeah I agree with Kev that the Starscream vs. F22s fight sequence was WAY too short. That was going to be awesome but it just ended to the ground battle.

Oh, and can Megan Fox be ANY HOTTER? Pretty much every time she was on the screen I thought to myself "can a girl get ANY HOTTER??" WOW.

Yeah, that F22 fight scene was really short.

Personally, I loved the cheesy lines the Transformers used, because that's how it was in the 80's.

But for the humor...it was ok.

I thought the first third of the movie was really cool.
I thought the second third was full of filler (the kids in the house sequence, the Sector 7 guy you're supposed to hate).
I thought the last third would have been better if the second third contained more useful crap (more characterization of the transformers, or at least more time focused on them to give the battle more weight).

Yeah, and I started cracking up hysterically when Jazz died. Even in this movie, it's the black transformer that dies.

I didn't mind the cheesy transformer dialogue because that's what the cartoons were like, like EGGO says.

Oh, and I laughed when the cube shrank from the size of a 5-story building to 1' cube, and then the kid carried it around like it was nothing. That's some crazy conservation of mass violations (unless the 5-story cube had an incredibly low density). I ignored the size-changing of the transformers because it wasn't as big a deal, but the cube thing was a little harder to believe.

All in all I think the 59% on rotten tomatoes is fair. I'd maybe give it a little higher, maybe as high as 70%.

Awesome movie. I wish they showed Starscream being a little whiney b*tch like he was in the cartoon.

Just like when I was a kid, the sound of Optimus Prime's voice made me feel like everything was going to be ok.

just got back from seeing it. it was freaking awesome. so many memories from childhood right back on the big screen. loved every minute of it. they set it up perfectly for a sequel as well and i can't wait for that one either.
