Canucks visit ACC in Nolan's Leafs debut

TORONTO (Ticker) -- Owen Nolan is expected to make his debut for the Toronto Maple Leafs when they host the Vancouver Canucks tonight.
Nolan was acquired from the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday for centers Alyn McCauley, Brad Boyes and a 2003 first-round draft pick. He had 22 goals and 42 points in 61 games.
The Maple Leafs, who are in second place in the Northeast Division, will pick up the rest of Nolan's $5.5 million salary this season as well as $13 million over the next two years.
Toronto comes into Saturday's game on a season-high three-game losing streak. The latest loss was Thursday's 4-2 setback in Buffalo. Captain Mats Sundin had an assist needs one more point to become the 66th player with 1,000 and fifth player to reach the milestone in a Maple Leafs jersey.
Vancouver comes off consecutive losses and is five points ahead of Colorado for the lead in the Northwest Division. In Thursday's 5-4 overtime setback in Columbus, Peter Skudra allowed four goals on 23 shots before being replaced by third-string goalie Alex Auld.
No. 1 goalie Dan Cloutier has missed the last five games with a knee injury.
Markus Naslund and Todd Bertuzzi had a goal and an assist apiece for the Canucks, who are trying to avoid their first three-game losing streak since March 7-10, 2002.
The Leafs posted a 5-3 win in Vancouver on December 31.
