I guess I'm excited because world-sporting events don't occur much in your own home town To have it in my own backyard and in the city I grew up in (LA, OC, and SD) is just too awesome for me to pass up. It makes me a bit proud that the southern california ballparks are being showcased to the world. You have the ultra-modern/friggin nice Petco Park and Edison Field, and you have the traditional, old-school, ugly, plain, boring, thug-fans-who-leave-at-the-6th-inning-because-the-dogs-are-down-2-runs, lame with the only saving grace being vin, Chavez Ravine.
fixed!
:Q:|:Q roar!!!! At least you didn't bad mouth Vinny. The park is not boring/ugly/plain looking! Blasphemous.
But the 6th inning thing.. ok i'll give you that. grrrr. (but c'mon! you know how long it takes to hop onto the 5 freeway and then trudge your way through the madness that is the 10/110/101/blah/wrists that the 5 encounters? . ) Now imagine me who had to do that + drive it down to SD .
Heh, there was once when Dodgers were down by 5, and we left early (7th inning! not 6th!!). We listen to the radio, and Dodgers rally back to win *grumble* .
alright, ill admit that im still salty over that game where they hit back-to-back-to-back-to-back homers in the 9th inning and then won it in bonus baseball. why bochy didnt put trevor in for the save situation after the first homer is beyond me...
and im sorry but the nicer stadium in the area is that one across the street from disneyland.
