That's what you'd expect, unfortunately. The TD games for PC have always had a good array of cars and generally good graphics for their era, but the physics and gameplay have always really really sucked.

Wow those trailers were unimpressive to say the least. Sonic looked ok (but sonic games can suck with the drop of a hat) and Dead rising, I want to get, looks fun and mindless, but it was the same trailer I saw who knows how long ago. The rest were lame and boring

I think Wii will win it, to be honest. I don't see any 360 games coming out in the next...year? Who knows, that make me jump for joy. I have some that are cool and I'd love to get, but nothing like a Zelda or a Mario. Oh well. I enjoy my 360 still

And on a side note, the new servers kick ass though. It only took 10 mins to download test drive!

I called them and they gave me the tracking #. They received it on Tuesday and it was scanned to UPS the tuesday right after, then actually shipped wednesday. I'll get it tomorrow.

I just called MS and got my tracking number... I should have the console in hand today.

Halo3?

Halo 3 is rumored to be Summer 07, which would make it a little over a year away still.

But I agree with him in the fact that Wii will probably steel the cake, IF it performs as great as they are claiming. I think it's going to be Wii taking 1 place, then PS3, then MS in third place.

While I love my 360 when it's working and have enjoyed it a lot, it just really is disappoint me more than ever right now. Every game gets delayed, and there really isn't much coming out that is very different and new than stuff we've already seen, other than having much better graphics.

I will still drool over Too Human and Gears of War, and Halo 3 when it comes out, but I am just sick of all of these ports and FPS coming out. By the time Too Human and Gears of War hit though, PS3 will be on the market as well as Wii. It's just devs are taking WAY too long to get the quality titles out there for the 360.

I still wish they had delayed the 360 a year or so to get all the kinks out of the system and have it ready when some AAA titles were also ready.

I don't see myself ever playing another Mario or Zelda game. The 360's current lineup, and future promises, suits me perfectly.

Gears of War, Saint's Row, Halo 3, Chromehounds, Forza, Lost Planet, Bioshock, Huxley, The Darkness, Too Human, Dead Rising, Mass Effect, Rainbow Six, etc...

I highly doubt that. PS3 has been nothing but hype from all I've seen. If it makes it for the November release in the US I will be shocked. There is already word on the street they are having some serious chip yield issues. I?m going to love watching some of the smoke and mirrors they put up once again at this E3. I've ran through some of the trailers and BIA and Sonic stand out thus far. Rain looks pretty interesting as well. I had already seen the BIA trailer on my PC, but it just looks smoking on the big screen. I haven't tried the TUD demo yet, but that isn't really on top of my demo list for this week. Shaping up to be a great E3.

Added; Check out the Stranglehold trailer as well, pretty sweet.

Looks like it is pretty much going to be a non-issue. If they use the USB and utilize the component outputs, I would imagine it would have to be a non-issue. I know they originally stated down sampling over component to 540p but Sony and some other studios have already backed off that statement. Does the currently released Toshiba HD-DVD players have component? I would imagine they do. I still have a hard time understanding why MS couldn't provide from the get go digital support over HDMI and/or DVI. I'm clueless on that one; the development costs couldn't have been that much more. Time will tell I guess.

FWIW, MS still has not yet said that HDMI will be absent.

Furthermore, MS has hinted before that they could provide a digital output if they wanted to on current hardware, but didn't because they didn't think it was warranted... yet. With the release of the HD DVD drive, it's possible that they may feel it's finally warranted to bring that HDMI dongle to the table.

That maybe the case but if you read that last statement from them carefully it looks as if it will be USB to the 360 and use the current outputs.

This new accessory will connect to the Xbox 360 console with a USB cable, enabling it to harness the power of the Xbox 360 console for the HD video outputs and digital surround sound. As an accessory, it becomes another shining example of the flexibility of Xbox 360 designed into the console in order to grow and add new features. They may have pulled the lost Planet Demo for some reason, it wasn't due out till tomorrow so not sure. Here are a couple of short reviews from over at TXB and I have to completely agree.

I will agree that the graphics are really, really good. The explosions are so awesome, it was like playing an action movie. Also, the animations are really good as well. If an explosion is close to your the character will duck, or even get blown away by it or stumble away. The boss fight in the one mission is insane, it's a huge monster. When the monster spins really fast all these particles and snow kick up, it looks so good. I'm loving this demo, I just played it for like a hour and I'm still craving for more.

The explosions are insane; the atmosphere excellent. The enemy AI is still a work in process sometimes seems to be off but mostly react pretty well. Im Officially in love with this Demo. And I read the story is suppose to be great as well.

I havent being able to pilot one of the V5's yet but im working on it. This Demo is definitely a big step up for us 360 owners. Two different missions and tons of stuff to blow up... the second warehouse on the first mission freaked me out. Those things are vicious and fast.

Wow! I am hyped and excited like a 10 year old kid! MS keep bringing the dough, we're ready to roll it

Problem is, they didn't back down from ICT - they simply said they won't do it for the first generation of discs. I can't even imagine the PR disaster that would cause Microsoft if it turned out their HD-DVD player couldn't even play at 1080i after a few release.

The cost to add digital video out isn't very much (most modern graphics chips have the appropriate transmitters onboard now), which is why I've always suspected the 360 might indeed have it. The cost to add HDCP is apparently considerable, since you need a hardware chip to do the decoding and store the keys. I've seen figures as high as $10 for each chip, due to supply-side constraints (there aren't a whole lot being made).
