Will Ms Hilton's game make it to the 360?

If you have the remote, you can power it on by ejecting the CD. Or you can press the Media button to power on the system. It will open at the Media blade, but at least the game won't load.Originally posted by: AdamSnow
Is there a way to make it load the dashboard every time, even if I have a CD in the machine?
I hate how I have to wait for the game to load, press the middle button, get back to the dashboard, etc......
But no, there is currently no option to disable the autoplay.

Forza 2 sounds pretty slick. One of my biggest beefs with PGR 3 is the total lack of customization - I can choose the color, but that's about it. That's pathetic compared to games like NFSMW, where I can do nearly anything I want to my car, including performance upgrades. If they have a good, realistic system in Forza 2, I'm going to be all over it.

Forza 1 was amazing with the customization, so I can only imagine how Forza 2 is going to be... I'll be first in line for that one!!
Xbox Dashboard Update confirmed, again

Our German friends over at Xbox Archiv informed us about the rumored dashboard update. They got confirmation from Boris Schneider (Senior Product Manager Xbox Platform and Accessories, Microsoft Germany) that the dashboard update is coming at the end of May. Features include background downloading and having multiple downloads at once.
We got confirmation from Boris Schneider-Johne (Senior Product Manager Xbox Platform and Accessories, Microsoft Germany) that a huge Dashboard Update will arrive at the end of may! It will feature a download manager for 6 parallel downloads in the background. He also mentions that there will be a lot more features in there but it will be a surprise and he won?t talk about
it! The downloads will also running while a game is played.
I've learned to just ignore stuff like this. How many times have we heard that "background downloads are coming real soon now!"? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to believe it, but I'm just too way from previous disappointment.Originally posted by: jlmadyson

6 downloads at once, heh MS better get some more servers. Anyhow I hope this finally comes about, waiting for downloads can get rough.

Again, it's this Live Anywhere stuff that I want to see ASAP. Even if it's just some XBLA games and a friends chat client on the phone, that's exactly what I'd like to have.

Imho, GRAW is the best in the Ghost Recon series. Check out the demo on Live, if you haven't already.Originally posted by: Kremlar
Had my 360 for a few months now. Only bought 2 games - NBA 2K6 since I'm a basketball nut, and Call of Duty 2 because I liked what I saw.
I'm not a huge gamer (obviously), but I loved COD2. I'm more into single-player or local co-op play than online play.
Will I like Ghost Recon?
Thanks!

E3 2006: Xbox 360 Assassinated
Ubisoft Montreal's Prince of Persia influenced action game may come to Xbox 360.
by Douglass C. Perry
May 12, 2006 - Ubisoft Montreal revealed its next incredible project, Assassins: Creed, exclusively for PlayStation 3 at E3 this year, much to the delight of Sony console fans and to the dismay of Microsoft consoles fans.
A third-person action game in the vein of Prince of Persia, Ubisoft Montreal's newest title shows off the next generation with fantastic texture work, early but promising animations, and newly envisioned levels of Prince/Spider-Men climbing/traversing. But the game, officially, is strictly exclusive to PlayStation 3. Ubisoft officially would not comment on a possible Xbox 360 version.
According to sources close to the company, however, there are potential plans for an Xbox 360 version at Assassins: Creed sometime in 2007. Additionally, Microsoft sources who asked not to be mentioned by name, claimed the demo, hidden behind closed doors at E3, was running on an Xbox 360 using a third-party USB PlayStation controller. The game system was hidden in a stand covered by a sheet. Again, Ubisoft officials would not comment.
We'll have more soon.
No, it's true. Multiple people saw the 360 when seeing the demo, and it was a joke going around E3.
Ubisoft probably called IGN's marketing department and complained, who then ran up to the IGN warroom at E3 in a panic "Ubisoft will pull all ads if we don't remove that story about their deception on the floor!" And thus it was pulled. It's how things work.
Bloody hell. Day of the exclusives it would seem.
While talking to a Ubi employee who asked not to be named, he accidentally let slip that Assassin's Creed is being developed on 360 as well. When we asked what 'exclusive' meant upon catching him out, he shut up, but we'll assume exclusive means 'timed exclusive'.
So there you go.

I know he actually saw the actual XBox 360 because he was telling me about it on Thursday or Wednesday, but I wasn't sure if he had a picture or not. He's sleeping now recooperating from the jet lag and flight last night, but I am dying to see if he did get a pic.

I just saw the Hands On preview for Madden 07 and I am relieved. Looks like we're gonna get a good one this year.
Sony has today cleared up the confusion over the differences in specification between the two models of PlayStation 3 - and the cheaper version won't support wireless controllers.
As announced by the company on Monday, two versions of PS3 will be available at launch - one with a 60GB hard drive, and a less pricy model that features a 20GB hard drive. However, what the company didn't mention at the time is that the 20GB machine also lacks a number of key features that are included as standard in the more expensive model.
The 20GB console won't include an HDMI output, which means that it won't be able to deliver high definition pictures. But perhaps more disappointing is that wireless bluetooth controllers won't be supported; instead, gamers will have to make do with retro-style wired-up versions of the increasingly controversial PS3 pad.
The 60GB version of PlayStation 3 - shown here on the left - is identifiable by its chrome lettering
In addition, the lower-end model also lacks WiFi and the slot for Memory Stick Duo cards included in the full-spec PS3.
A Sony representative on the show floor at E3 also emphasized that gamers won't be able to upgrade the memory of the 20GB version; if that's the PS3 incarnation you opt for, you're permanently stuck with a 20GB memory limit.
Amazingly, Sony big boss man Phil Harrison, in a BBC interview earlier this week, insisted, "What we should be clear about is that the functionality is identical in both machines. There is no difference in what the machine does."
Unfortunately, the actual facts seem to suggest otherwise
