Just 6?? Testing that out now! :Q

I swear I had hit him with that many...but maybe they weren't all headshots even though I thought they were.

He probably beat it on Casual if it only took 6 headshots. I didn't play the game through on casual, but I did go back and try it out after I beat it on insane, and it's so ridiculously easy to kill guys because they have such little health.

I know for a fact it is more than 6 headshots on Hardcore cause I used almost all of my ammo before it killed him.

On Insane it's even more, because my friend was headshotting him with the sniper while I was headshotting him with the torque bow.

Well I beat it last night with a combination of headshots from the torque bow and the sniper rifle. Definitely more than 6 headshots with the sniper rifle as I placed at least that many on him with that alone. Was fun...now I'll have to try insane with a buddy.

I thought the control was great, the lock-on system worked very well, and I LOVED the whole super agility aspect. I felt like Spiderman (minus the webs) running around the city. At this point I don't even give a ****** about the Halo 3 multiplayer beta, I just want to play Crackdown. Just going by the demo, I think the Crackdown would have done well even without the beta invite pack-in. I think a lot of people who buy the game just to get the Halo 3 beta are going to be pleasantly surprised how fun Crackdown actually is.

honestly, I wasn't expecting much. And it was actually worse than I expected it to be

Well you thought Rainbow Six was crap, your credibility went out the window with that.

Kidding! I'll have to download the demo tonight or tomorrow and try it out. Man I gotta say - gaming on a big ass DLP kicks major ass...I'm totally loving it compared to the old 27" CRT I was gaming on. Worst thing was, it was hooked up via regular composite. I couldn't even read the text on the screen.

Well you are kind of wrong there ... I said I thought the demo was crap. I have yet to play the full game because I thought the demo sucked.

Well with all the positive reviews of the demo (minus Purbeast0) here and other places, I'll definitely have to download it and try it out. Sounds like it could be fun.

Crackdown may help break my R6 addiction, just a little I"ve played the demo probably 4 times just trying to max out my skills. You can jump REALLY far once you max out your agility.

lol, I just looked at my friends list online.

Here is what it says blurredvision is doing:

Playing Crackdown
Co-op Campaign Killing helpless innocents

I haven't even tried to Co-op portion of the demo yet. I think coop is going to be a heck of a lot of fun also.

Third-person. Think GTA on superhero steroids.

sweet. is the demo multiplayer?

You can do co-op in the demo.

Just be aware that the demo is different than the game in that you can level up your character's abilities much more quickly than the retail game.

Ditto on the DLP. I got one as a Christmas gift last month and I've been loving it. Not that I was doing too shabby before gaming on a 34" CRT HDTV, but the sheer size difference makes a big impact on the games.

Hey, a question for those who have done co-op... how does that work? Are you free to roam completely independently, or do you have to stay near/with your co-op buddy? Do both people get credit for completing missions? Can you ride in vehicles together?... in other words, one person drive while theother person gets in as a passenger? Finally, is there local split-screen co-op, or just over Live?

I do know for a fact that you can ride in vehicles together. I would imagine each person can go wherever they want, but you never know.

Yeah, I have it. It's a lot of fun. I haven't played very far into the missions yet, but I did play Survival mode online and managed to make it past 13 minutes. It gets insane at that point.

I tried out the demo yesterday and I think that the controls suck.

Halo 3 Beta for All

Chance to play Halo 3 online not as limited as first believed.

January 24, 2007 - Millions want a chance to play Halo 3 online prior to its release, which has lead to some stressful nights for fans. With limited openings in the Internet lottery and Xbox Live competition, most gamers must rely on receiving the golden ticket that comes with a retail copy Crackdown. Some have mistakenly been lead to believe that only a select number of copies of Crackdown will contain Halo3 beta invites. This is not true.

A Microsoft representative confirmed to IGN that every copy of Crackdown includes an invite to the Halo 3 beta. If you want in on the beta (and didn't earn an invite by other means), purchase a copy of Crackdown on February 20 and you'll be set. You can even purchase a copy on February 21 or even March 15 and still be in the clear. Oh, and you'll get a copy of Crackdown to boot. Sweet!

Crackdown, fastest selling 360 game, confirmed.

Heh, nice . I played for an hour with a random stranger this morning. Was a pretty nice guy, we worked together and chatted over the mic to do a couple of "missions". We stuck together the whole time, but easily could have split up and done out own thing if we wanted. We only found one vehicle that didn't allow for both of us to climb in, and strangly enough, it was the huge bus .

Towards the end, we worked on getting the green agility power-ups, and pretty soon we both were jumping from building to building with ease. I'm going to be VERY disappointed when it takes longer in the retail game to build up your stats.

The Crackdown demo is pretty fun. I'm just wondering how it will translate over time with the full retail version. Will it be worth it?
