Yeah, if you look at the details in PGR like when somebody else is playing you'll pick up some out of this world details.

According to GS, there were a couple of games like NHL 2K6 where it appeared like the backgrounds and environments were upgraded but the player models stayed pretty much the same. They said that Tony Hawk looked no different beyond being forced into widescreen.

I think that that article was comparing 480p on both systems, not 480p Xbox versus 720p Xbox360. They were just comparing the two for peole who don't have HDTVs so that they could see if the graphics were different enough to warrant buying it even without an HDTV.

The year is 2005, almost 2006. I don't even know people that don't have a HDTV.

It's about half and half for me. I know alot of people that don't have HDTVs yet.

But swordsman is right, GS was comparing 480p to 480p. They say it in the opening paragraph.

Barely anyone I know has an HDTV. My parents don't, my siblings don't, my friends don't. I'm trying to think of someone that I do know who owns one. Hmm, one of the guys I used to work with has one. Other than that, I can't think of anyone. Then again, none of them, other than maybe my friends are even into gaming.

I have PGR3 but have not really gotten into it. It's pretty and all but I never liked the PGR series much. I want to try and unlock everything in world explorer for RR6 first!

See, I tried RR6 at a kiosk at an EB Games and just didn't care for it. Compared to PGR3 I didn't have any sense of speed. The speedometer said I was going 115mph but it felt more like 15mph.

any good arcade racers coming out?

One of my favorite games was Burnout. It was just so much fun.

Do you have the 360 yet or are still contemplating? There is a NFS:MW demo up on xbox live marketplace.

I personally think the racing is more fun than PGR3's racing, and the graphics really do kick ass when seen in motion.

Oh and also, I played Full Auto while at Zero Hour ... its like Burnout 3 meets Twisted Metal. It is going to be badass when it comes out, I'm definitely going to pick it up.

I usually get on to play after 10PM EST if I get on at all. That's when my kids are asleep and my wife has usually headed to get ready for bed as well.

edit: Xbox Live Tag = Queasy1

Hearing rumors of second shipments tomorrow. May want to check your local retailers for those who haven't got one (and want one).

for an arcade racer, i feel ridge racer 6 is great. the first few levels do seem "slow" but once you start doing the class 2 and class 3 cars, it moves much faster and online can get pretty intense.

i tried playing NFS MW on PC and didn't really like it or dislike it. the car didn't seem to control well for me but some of my friends love it so far.

Im just not a fan of the "car on rails" type control, as well as the power sliding system in that game ... its just way too loose for me. I tried it out for a bit at zero hour to make a verdict. I was never a huge fan of RR games for the control reason.

However the game runs very VERY smooth at a constant 60fps which was great. The graphics are kind of simple, but since it runs very smooth that makes up for it greatly IMO.

RR6 is a game you will either hate or love.

There can't be only a dozen ATOT xbox owners.

Soon as I bridge my 4th wireless access point, I'll be on LIVE.
