teamxbox doesnt list EVERYTHING it does, just 4 out of who knows how many things it does.

from what i hear its a pretty pointless update, or all in the background type of stuff.

That is my gamer card. I won't be Live for the next 20hrs. My Xbox360 didn't want to play nice and scratched up my PGR3 and I can't actually get on Live races with it

The rumored Dashboard update was released just minutes ago. Your system will install the update automatically upon signing into Xbox Live. According to Xbox.com the update includes:

Improvements to the Xbox Guide
Option to retain your saved games when you delete a profile
Increased accuracy of "last time played"
Network configuration improvements for Xbox Live members in the Netherlands
More detailed messaging for unreadable disk or region errors

PGR3 = Somewhere in between

PGR3 has elements of both simulation and arcade. But it's definitely not a true Sim. (i.e. If you crash head on into a wall at 170mph, your car will still drive just fine.)

Imho, it's pretty much the perfect balance for a video game.

Yah PGR3 is not a sim, but its not an arcade racer either, I agree.

I think the controls and presentation are more like a Sim but the customizations and what not are definitely arcade since there really isn't much of it.

if 1 was an arcade racer, and 10 was a simulation racer, I would put PGR3 around 6.5 or 7.

i don't play PGR3 at all though, but I may give it another chance at some point soon. I mainly play COD2 online now. I havent played DOA4 in a while either. You will usually see me on COD2 or Geometry Wars if I'm not in the dash watching a movie.

I'm done with GUN. I finished it a few days ago, but kept plugging away at the side missions to add to my Gamerscore.
Although the graphics are worthy only for the last generation, the game kept my attention for several hours. The story is good, and with help from Tom Skerritt and Kris Kristofferson (among others) the voice acting is probably the best I've run across in a game.
I hope they make a GUN 2 from the ground up for the 360. I'm still surprised at how few Old West games are out there.

I am a little bummed out at the lack of games so far. The games that were supposed to come out got pushed, and all we got were old game rehashes for download. The only game I have not played is Kameo, and lately I have been playing COD on veteren and having a good time

Splinter Cell got pushed to September for some reason, and Tomb Raider is May now. Saints Row and Elder scrolls are at the top of my list now and I really hope they make their street dates.

If I were you I would try out The Outfit before jumping in and buying it. The reason I say that is because they had a demo at Zero Hour. It really was not great at all. You know exactly what it reminded me of? Brute Force for XBox, but in a military environment.

Nothing I ever "look forward to" is set in stone. And of course the demo you saw is very old, so it may or may not be indicative of the retail game. We'll see.

I picked up my 360 on Sunday (remarkably, it was pretty easy to find, short supply or not). Overall, it's impressive as hell, and I say this as both a long-time console _and_ PC gamer. The first game I picked up was Jade Empire LE (I wanted to play it, and it was cheap), but I'm now planning the list of what else I should be looking for in the future, in terms of games. I never owned an original XBOX, although I do have a PS2. Right now, I'm looking at:
1. Oblivion
2. DOA 4

What other games should I have my eye on? I tried the Kameo demo, but was totally unimpressed with the gameplay (the graphics, of course, were sweet). I'm hearing a lot of good buzz about PGR 3 and Fight Night, though.

How did Jade Empire run on the 360? Many (most?) backwards compatible games seems to have some sort of problem or another.

As for 360 games, check out all the available demos. For instance... A lot of people love Kameo, but a lot of us just didn't care for it. I can appreciate why people like it, but it's just not for me.

DEFINITELY check out Condemned. Aside from PGR3, it's probably my favorite 360 game.

EDIT: It should be a bannable offense to post about your 360 without mentioning your gamertag! :frown:
