Do you have forms to fill in when you officially change browsers?

Of course. Form 302B, Change of Browser Form. To be completed and returned to your local police department, with a copy also delivered to DHS, FBI, and TSA. Also, if you choose to delete the previous browser, you need to fill out a 19-2C, Deletion of Browser Form, again with copies delivered to above listed locations.

I've never had any problems with FF other than with the Skype plugin (which is Skype's problem not Mozilla). I use FF most of the time, but use Chrome for a few specific sites like Netflix because of some good Chrome extensions.

Tried to switch to Chrome on multiple occasions, but I just can't get into it. The ad blocking plugins are a joke. It still downloads all the ads, but the plugins simply don't render them in the HTML. It hides them, but not very eloquently.

And when I'm working on a 3D render, it's nearly impossible to browse with Chrome. Everything else works fine with CPU @ 100% load, except Chrome. When I type a new address into the address bar while CPU is maxed out, Chrome sits there for 30 seconds to a minute before it finally does anything. It's beyond frustrating for me, and makes it unusable. I've tried to like it on a number of occasions, but it just doesn't work for me.

Meh, too much work. I'll stick with FF.

Umm... not any more.

Or if it's still doing that, it's blocking them a lot better than in the past. Yea, a while ago, with adblock plugins, you'd see the ad briefly appear then disappear. But now the adblock plugin actually doesn't download the ad in the first place now.

Yeah I switched at home a couple of months back and while it still has a few quirks, I like it quite a bit overall. Firefox did very strange things on my PC, like the arrow buttons and page up/page down buttons just quitting; it made browsing sites and reading things very painful, so I had to quit it.

Unfortunately I am still stuck on IE7 at work.

I use something with a blue e icon orbited by something that leaves a yellow curve around it. It allows me to post here and read what others say.

Switched about the same time as OP.

Same reasons he listed.

If Chrome disappoints (porn doesn't load fast enough), I may even switch back to IE, apparently it's getting good reviews.

With the amount of self-hate you have, it's gotta be IE 6 or Netscape.

That's not how self hate works. When you hate yourself and somebody tells you you do, you try to make the messenger feel your pain by insulting them in some way like, say, accusing them of being backward or not up to date. You want to make them feel as worthless as you do. That's not going to get you anywhere, however, with a messenger who understands his own self hate, because he will have seen you coming long before you came. You will just become one of a million others who brainlessly tried the same thing.

Opera at work because I can quickly turn off/on all images on a page. Much less conspicuous when people walk by my desk.

Chrome at home because of the speed. It's a little concerning how Chrome is so deeply nested on where it installs itself though.

It's Moonbeam approved, the simple choice for folk who are so self hating they can't dig themselves out of feeling worthless by being a browser snob.

I used FireFox for years until I tried Chrome out on a whim. I've been using it ever since. I downloaded FireFox 5 just for shits and giggles and I saw why I like Chrome better: It's much faster and the interface is minimalistic. I like the extra real estate that Chrome gives me over other browsers.

As much as I've hated IE in the past, IE9 is a great improvement. Still I like both FF and Chrome better.

I have absolutely no problem with that. I just don't have a problem with what I have and don't want to learn something different.

TBH if IE9 had a decent ad blocker and spell check I wouldn't really notice any difference between browsers in day to day usage.

I think there's a lot of fuss made about very little difference.

I use Chrome as my porn browser, but I don't like it.

I leave Firefox running for weeks at a time, and rarely have memory issues. It actually rarely uses more than 250mb. I have too many firefox add-ons to switch anyway.

I'm still running 3.6 though

And when I do need to reset it, I just save my session then load it right but up after closing the browser

I've been using Chrome primarily for the last few months. I can't stand that Ctrl+B / Ctrl+U / Ctrl+I shortcuts no longer work for PHPBB boards like this one.

It's IE9 for me. I use firefox at work and much prefer it over IE 8 on WinXP. Though for Win7 at home I prefer IE9 over anything else. IE9 has the best layout IME and hasn't crashed on me yet, even with 10+ pages open in tabbed form for extended (4+ days) periods of time.

I have never liked chrome, though I may put it back in my task bar to force some familiarity with it.

the only thing I ever liked about Opera was the little Aquarium simulator gadget thingy, and that other gadget and a few more of the gadgets...until I realized that the only reason to use Opera was for little gadgets that consume all of your attention.

I'm still mostly with FF, but only have Chrome on my laptop...for no particular reason.
