Officially switched to Chrome...

Officially done with firefox; after not being able to play the rowan atkinson/topgear clip on autoblog due to firefox being open too long (2gb+ and 100% cpu usage) I called it quits.

The memory issue has been around since FF 3.5 and mozilla people keep defering to disabling extension or this and that. That and firefox randomly hanging when it decides it wants to upgrade itself. F that noise.

Funny, I stopped using chrome a while back when I found out that flash playback isn't so smooth most of the time. Why? I'm not sure. And it could be fixed by now. All I know is that FF's problems can be remedied by not running it for days as a time. I could never get Chrome to act proper 100% of the time and there wasn't a source cause to fix it.

If I have to kill the process every 2 hours, because they can't stop pissing bytes left and right, it's time to find a new browser. Especially with flash stuff, 30 mins on youtube and it's unusable.

I started using chrome when I got my macbook, love it. Switched from Firefox to chrome on my desktop after that as well. Chrome all the way for me, with the exception of my phone, like dolphin hd on that.

i prefer firefox. the chrome interface is too cut down and chrome sometimes exhibits strange pauses.

Tried it, would consider again once they allow scrolling on a loading page... annoyed me to no end.

Opera has a similar problem. Left it open for a couple hours last night, came back to find half a GB without any tabs open.

What he said once I got noscript For FF have not gotten any sypware will not use a browser with out it.

Chrome rocks. Faster, more stable than Firefox. I like how it doesn't let flash invade your computer too.

Looks like this does the same thing as Noscript. They've had adblockers for quite some time now. And they have Angry Birds in case you're bored at work.

Chrome takes a little getting used to. I actually used it in parallel with firefox for a while, but once you get used to Chrome and realize how much faster and less memory-leak prone it is, it's hard to switch back, despite the fact that i think Firefox has some superior UI elements and features.

i use both and this is very true, in reality FF is much more stable that Chrome

I don't like Chrome at all. I use Opera when I'm on a weak wireless connection, and Firefox the rest of the time.
