Do you have forms to fill in when you officially change browsers?
Of course. Form 302B, Change of Browser Form. To be completed and returned to your local police department, with a copy also delivered to DHS, FBI, and TSA. Also, if you choose to delete the previous browser, you need to fill out a 19-2C, Deletion of Browser Form, again with copies delivered to above listed locations.
Tried to switch to Chrome on multiple occasions, but I just can't get into it. The ad blocking plugins are a joke. It still downloads all the ads, but the plugins simply don't render them in the HTML. It hides them, but not very eloquently.
I use something with a blue e icon orbited by something that leaves a yellow curve around it. It allows me to post here and read what others say.

Switched about the same time as OP.
Same reasons he listed.
If Chrome disappoints (porn doesn't load fast enough), I may even switch back to IE, apparently it's getting good reviews.

As much as I've hated IE in the past, IE9 is a great improvement. Still I like both FF and Chrome better.

I leave Firefox running for weeks at a time, and rarely have memory issues. It actually rarely uses more than 250mb. I have too many firefox add-ons to switch anyway.
