One thing I have noticed about fluorescent light bulbs is the wattage. Usually fluorescent light bulbs are not as bright as incandescence are. But if you are interested in saving money, fluorescence are the way to go in the long run, or even in a shorter period of time.
For those who are not aware, there are a lights (or bulbs) on the market that last for upwards to 50, or even 100 years. These light bulbs can be very expensive, but they pay for themselves in the long run. And are worth the extra money.
And what are even better are the natural spectrum lights-or full spectrum lights. These are also more expensive, but worth the money. I personally like fluorescent lights, but at have noticed that they are kind of the irritating. Fluorescent lights seemed to give off a blue spectrum, that for me aggravates my thinking, and they don't like to look at them all day long. But the full spectrum fluorescence take care of this problem. All-in-all they are worth the money, and you're not going to use them to lite your whole house anyway, because they are probably not that strong. But they will last a while.
