A few of my favorites...

Pg 99 - Crazy grindcore mixed with hardcore. There's 8 people in this band! 2 singers, 3 guitars, 2 bass guitars and a drummer.

The Red Chord - Technical grindcore death metal.

Pig Destroyer - Already mentioned above. I have a hard time figuring out how only 3 people (singer, guitar, and drums) can make so much noise.

Employer Employee - More crazy grindcore. And they're from Texas!

Can anyone recommend some metal without "angry" vocals? I can't stand the grunting/screaming crap. Mainly I like bands like DragonForce and Dream Theater with some actual singing.

They came to San Antonio on June 25th. I missed them, but I know they put on a hell of a show. Would have went, but after seeing the ridiculous ticket prices, I changed my mind.

I just picked up a copy of Sonic Firestorm yesterday, based solely on hearing a sample from Fury of the Storm.

Good choice, I must say.
