I guess it works the same for digital cable !
I have both Dish network with analog box and a Time Warner with a digital box, and a 50 inch Sony LCD projection TV that has DVI input .. I am really tempted to hook it up tp my PC to see how it works !! but I haven't gotten the chance to play with that yet ! ahhhh maybe this week end ... I need to figure out what's that DVI connector on the back of that TV is for !

Netwrks are starting to broadcast in Digital, so It comes from your local networks not a satelite. I have the wintv-d and works great, I use it mainly so i can tune into digital signals and than it has an svideo out and I out it onto my TV, the digital signal is SO much better.

Interesting. Which nVidia cards specifically? I currently have an MSI GeForce 3 Ti200 128MB in with my TV-Wonder, and it works fine both in Win98SE and Linux.
In fact, I bought it when I bought my Radeon 64MB VIVO, and the two had problems living together because of different Media Centre versions. It was fixed with later driver revisions, but hilariously enough, the two worked perfectly fine in linux, when ATI had no official support for either.

Under my Rigs, it's Optimus. Before the A7V8X board it currently has, it was the same parts on an ASUS A7V133 w/384MB PC-133.
