I think you may be taking me the wrong way, or at least whoever told me to go enjoy Linkin Park. The only Lincoln Park I like is spelled like that. Don't get me wrong. I like almost everyone mentioned here. I just would not buy their new albums or go see them live. It's quite disappointing to me. Old Farts that still have the chops is a contradiction in terms, and I am sure it is measurable as well. I'll look into it.

You should give this one up, guy. I've met plenty of music elitists with worthwhile opinions, and you're not one of them.

I updated the OP quite a bit, but saw a great clip with Old Fart Randy Bachman playing with the late Jeff Healey that is absolutely fantastic. It's posted to the OP, check it out and see if you don't agree that:

*Randy Bachman still has serious chops.
