I just got a new laptop (thinkpad x61) that comes with wireless N, so i got a wireless N router (linksys), the laptop flys wirelessly, but I also got a D-link platinum pci rangebooster N desktop adaptor for my older Dell GX260. the internet is considerably slower using this than hard wired in even though it says my signal strength is excellent and full....should I get a new adaptor or is it my older hardware (pci interface, slow to process signal from MB through P4 2ghz) that is slowing it down, trying to avoid running an ethernet cord through my house, thanks
