Read about it here. Has anyone else heard about this? I think I heard Howard Stern mention it this morning. The Sun isn't exactly a reputable source.

I was sure it would have been posted all over here but was surprised I couldn't find anything when I searched.

holy crap that is some of the funniest stuff i have read in a while. "gynaecological"? you couldn't come up with a better word than that!?!?! seeing those (women) skaters lookin all hot is the ONLY reason i would EVER watch figure skating. (and i mean the 'of age' ones...i'm no damn pedo)!

I think the Ice Skating Federation has bigger problems than raunchy routines. They are well known for favoritism of certain teams, couples, and nations, much like Ballroom Dancing is adjudicated. In other words, it's a popularity and pissing contest. I really wish someone would blow the lid off their questionable practices, because that's the true obscenity.

They have been doing this for quite a while actually, I remember seeing a story about this a few months ago. They don't like guys spinning girls over their heads with the girl spread eagle. They tend to do this right in front of the judges and most of the judges deduct artistic points for "gross displays of anantomy". *shrug* Most people are prudes and it's not a supprise that the judge is staring where they shouldn't be.

Does anyone remember when Tonya Harding was crying during her long program at the Olympics? She kept screwing up and wanted to blame it on some broken laces, so she skated over to the judges table and hoisted her leg up on their bench to show them the laces. There's no delicate way to put it, but she had some serious lip bulging out from under her costume and flapping at the judges. <shudder>

Some of the pairs' lifts are a little odd looking. She does the splits and he sticks his face right in there before lifting her up over his head, then flipping her over so the audience gets a good look at her too.

I think it'd be pretty funny to see one of the guys get a little excited about his partner while they're skating, considering the sprayed-on costumes the guys wear. It might draw a whole new audience to figure skating!
