yes, looks like he's limited to 125W max.

I wonder if this is a common issue?

thats pretty lame

they will likely do the rma no problem, but you dont want to blow up your board again. thats pretty lame that they made it only 125w max when they made 140w chips, but obviously 15w is going to break the camel's back.

i wonder if undervolting and underclocking will allow you to run the chip on that board?

ps: i got $20 that your cpu still works

Hmm, was your Phenom II X4 a 125w or a 140w stepping? MSI's site says the board can support 125w CPUs.
