Got to love my mechanic. My truck decided to dump the rear end gear lube all over the garage floor last Sat. and I had to have it towed to my mechanic. He called and asked me to stop by and when I arrived he was upset and asked "Who worked on the rear axel last." I had to think about it but remebered I had a leak fixed about 2 or 3 years ago. He said "they put it back together wrong". So I called the place that did the work and gave them my mechanic's number. They called me back in a few and said "we'll fix it" and that was that. I got my truck fixed for free and my mechanic just saved me about $500.00. Cheap excuse for a bump but hey .. it really happened !! And it's Saturday Night !!!!

Have a great weekend

First of all I would like to say in our defense that Space Cowboy requested a case that we did not have in out store, we did however try to make our best effort to get him what he was looking for since he only gave us a model number to go off of.

He wanted a Cheiftec Matrix Gloss Black Case and ended up recieving a Carbon Black instead, it also included a power supply. We should have given a full refund from the start but our account manager told him that there is a 15% restocking fee as any returned item minus shipping.

He was returned his funds minus 15% restocking fee and shipping, this caused him to report us to every agency he could find and start this discussion about this case.

On top of being reported to the BBS and multiple other agencies that have dropped his claim due to no grounds, our terms and conditions available on our site at http://www.mdofpc.com/onlinestore/conditions.php

He went to his credit card company and was able to dispute the remaining difference from his order (15% restocking and shipping) a total of about $25!

At this point he has received a full refund and has no grounds for a dispute or further complaint.

If anyone reading this does not believe any of these facts we will gladly send proof as we wish to terminate this thread for slander against MDofPC.

If you would like further information please email: webmaster@mdofpc.com or call 1-866-963-6372

Lies Lies.. shame on you. The answer is in quotes .. I WANT A FULL REFUND FROM YOU!! Not my credit card company. By my books you still owe me. And I have not recouped the shipping costs of about $40.00 yet. I was never told about the restocking fee till the damage was done. And I have the email to prove it. And you charged me for a power supply and fan's which I never recieved! It would be better for both of us if you just refunded me my money in the first place. I tried to reason with you but was treated VERY Rude by you know who. I have proof.. I don't need this aggravation and I bet you don't either. The case you sent was the wrong color, Steel, and can be bought for half of what you charged me on Tiger Direct.

You:

It is the aluminum case and is exactly what you ordered. We expect a
few
more days.

Me:

> Thanks for the responce. I'll wait for the correct model. This is a
> aluminum case and fits the description I put in the order? How much
longer do you think it will be.>

I have allot more examples if you'd like me to post them just let me know.

P.S. There are many other complaints in the works and your feeble attempt to justify your actions will not work.

Refund Now !!

Oh, but wait. Their prices are so good.
I can get a S754 3200+ for $290 and 1 GB Corsair Value RAM for $166. With prices like that, business should be booming.

What a fvcking joke this guy is.

Check out their awesome forum. No matter what you click on you get a page that says "oops wrong link"... might as well say "oops, our service sucks"

Their downloadable software pages are the best.

You even get the option to buy a CD of your download. Here's what their site says about backup CDs:
Download Software Backup CD is NOT:
* A retail box, OEM or original cd
* A license for the software
* Shipped same day or overnight
* A serial or key is not physically included
* Include installation & general support from manufacturer

Nice.

Perhaps someone needs to ask Adobe, Corel, Microsoft, etc. whether their license agreements allow such distribution.

Adobe
Microsoft
Corel
Macromedia
Symantec
EA Games

Well, you do have a big, bold, "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" logo right on your home page of your web site. Not an "85% satisfaction guarantee". Plus, you have an animated graphical ad, that clearly stresses how you claim to "specialize" in delivering custom-built PCs. If you couldn't get that part, or couldn't decode the model number that the customer was requesting correctly, you should have contacted the customer. At least according to my knowledge of federal mail-order laws, you cannot arbitrarily substitute products without the customer's prior approval. He shouldn't have to pay a restocking fee to ship a product back that was your mistake, and it shows that your claim of "100% satisfaction guarantee" is basically a cruel joke.

Which he shouldn't have had to do, if your company had held up to their own advertised standards. It's a shame.

Please address the issue of your "full version downloadable software", available on your web site, along with the full PDF versions of several computer-related book publications.
I'm curious, what legal authorization do you have from the author of DXBall to sell it on your web site, since the product pictured clearly states that it cannot be sold for profit without prior written legal approval from the author.

And why in the world, would "full version" software, purchased from your company, come already registered in your company's name, as per your documented FAQ on your downloadable software products, rather than being freely registerable by the end-user purchaser?

I think refunding this customers' money, is perhaps the least that you have to worry about at this point in time.

Additionally, Chieftec cases do not normally include an "included" power-supply. So unless you shipped him an additional seperate one, it's quite likely that he never recieved one.

I ordered a computer through a custom dealer once. I thought we had specified I wanted a window but when I saw my order come into the store it didn't have one. I told them about this and even though it might have been my fault, they took that cases side off and replaced it with a windowed side right there on the spot no charge added. THAT is service

The real shame of a situation like this is that it deters people from using small vendors online, that are otherwise pretty solid.

I think my blood presure is back to normal so just to clarify a few things.

On top of being reported to the BBS and multiple other agencies that have dropped his claim due to no grounds, our terms and conditions available on our site at http://www.mdofpc.com/onlinestore/conditions.php

It's not the BBS .. It's called BBB for Better Business Bureau. They basicly said they were to busy to deal with it.

Visa (Bless their Hearts) refunded me the restocking fee which you charged me on my credit card. When I talked to them (yesterday) I asked them "did MdofPc refund it or did you" They said and I quote "we did". I told them about this thread and asked if I could recommend them on the forum for being so kind and generous and they said "sure, no problem" VISA ROCKS !!

I'm not a rich man and saved my money for about 5 years in order to be able to build this computer.

I built my last computer in 2000 and purchased all the componets online and didn't have any problems. Now all of a sudden some online merchants, like yourself, think they can take advantage of people who try and do business with them. Sorry but I work to hard for the little money I have to let someone like you .. aww forget it .. your not worth it.

All you have to do is refund me my money and I'll go away.

The choice is your's .. I suggest you do it very soon!! .... It's your call ...

Thanks Gang

I couldn't have done this without your help.

Whats that song by Bachman Turner Overdrive? Ba Ba Ba Baby ???????

Space Cowboy, even if Visa has refunded you the difference, still report their site to all of the anti-piracy sections of each software company that someone listed above. Seriously, they will take swift action, I'm sure, against this piece of trash 'company'.

If you're going to make a blow, make it one that knocks 'em down.

I just wanted give a special thanx to space cowboy for the info he provided in his postings on here.........Thanx man!!

I also wanted to say that MDofPC refunded my money, after I sent my threatening email.......

"Is this CD coming by pony express or what? Unhappy? No, it goes way beyond
being unhappy. Since 2/24/05 this CD has been on it's way. There is no
other program I want and I'm not even quite sure you could produce a
substitution if it came right down to it.

I have filed a complaint with the IFCC about your company and also posted
negative feedback. It seems I am NOT the only person who is very dissatisfied with your company.

I've also contacted VISA and the PA attorney general. I've contacted the
better business bureau and next week I am going to my local magistrate and
filing charges. I have all my paperwork in order and there shouldn't be any problems.

All I wanted was the CD..........now I want a refund and ASAP"

and MDofPC responded twice as follows...........

"We have just issued you a full refund XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXX
APPROVED: $24.33 credited. We would like you to please drop all of your
complaints and respond to any reviews that you have left negative feedback
saying that you have gotten a refund and this matter is closed.

We appologize that you did not like the software and that you never
received the backup cd.

This refund will also cancel any licensing or support that would be
provided for this product.

"Failure to drop these complaints and respond to the reviews will force us
to respond on our behalf and send the information over to our collection
agency if you do not drop your complaints as we have issued you a full
refund."

MDOFPC
Account Manager

AND

"We appologize that you have not received your backup cd yet. We did send
it via USPS First Class Mail twice but if you are still saying that you
haven't recevied it we would be more than happy to give you a refund as we
would like to have a happy customer.

If we give you this refund we would appreciate it if you would drop all
the claims and post to any reviews that you have made saying that you have
gotten the program and recieved a full refund because you have obviously
downloaded the program and used it seeing how you said it doesn't do what
you want it to do.

Again we are sorry that you did not recieve the cd and that you are
unhappy with the program.

MDOFPC
Account Manager

NOW WHAT I WANNA KNOW IS.............HOW CAN THEY SEND ME TO COLLECTIONS???? That I would like to see them do.

If MDofPC thinks I'm gonna cushion their fall, forget about it. I couldn't wait to post these emails from them......just waited for the refund!!!!
