Opera in a proxy

Ok, I am using a proxy in my work and the Proxy is configured by a file that is downloaded from the Proxy Server, It seems to be a file of command sequence, but it only work with IE and FireFox, but I like to use opera and it supposed that it will never work in this version, anyone know what I can do to use Opera?

just get your FF proxy settings and copy them over to Opera

Set the proxy up manually in tools>preferences>network>proxy servers

Copy those settings from IE in tools>internet Options>Connections>"lan settings.." button at bottom of page.

Sorry for the grammar, I will try to improve it.

The IT department told me that Opera does not support this kind of configuration, at least in this version, Opera 9, but it will be supported in the future, when I don?t know.

I have Windows XP Pro in Spanish, so may be the translation is inaccurate, in IE Tools->Internet Options->Connections->LAN Settings, in the Automatic Configuration there is a checkbox that say something like this: ?Use sequence of commands for automatic configuration? and below is a direction HTTP://proxy.blah.blah.xxx there is an option in Opera in Proxy settings that say something about an Automatic Configuration, but it doesn?t work, in Opera site there is a part about Proxy settings, and they say that with some Proxy servers based on Windows there a special authentication that Opera doesn?t support but you can disable that in the server or get a bypass with something at sourceforge, this is the link to Opera page and this one is to Sourceforge and the script that should fix the problem, but I tried and didn?t work. So if any of you know something I will be pleased if tell me.


I don?t know if I took the correct one, but if someone know, please tell, because it seem to be a lot of this NTLM in Source Forge, I just took the one that had the highest ratio of coincidence in the words, so maybe someone would prefer to type NTLM and search for one, I will keep trying with others, If I have success I will inform you guys.
