Looking on Newegg at:
TwinX2048-3200 consists of a matched pair of CMX2048-3200 memory modules (1GB x 2) - around $550
Cas Latency: 3-3-3-8
or
Xtra-Low Latency 184-Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200, Model TWINX1024-3200XLPRO - almost $450
Many good things said about the 3200xlPro, but am willing to spend the extra to get a full two gig. Gaming use primarily. I just installed an AMD 64 and Epox 8kda3+ (3 mem slots), and my 1gig of Kingston value ram seems to be struggling....just some quirky stuff. (Fresh install of xp home on Seagate 120gb SATA)
FYI: All drivers and bios up to date
Opnions on whether I would be better off with the potentially higher performance of the 3200XL or going with the 2gig. pair. (or....should i even consider a third sitck of the 3200....since it's not "matched" will that matter?)
Additional thoughts or advice will be appreciated as well.
Thanks to all who consider this and reply.
