I've been reading and looking around at cases and cooling, and now have fallen for the urge to mod my case. When I was buying my case, I was in a hurry to find the cheapest one that would work for me. But now I realized what a mistake that was and I'm trying to think of mods to make it look better.

Here's a picture of it:
my case

What I would like to change the most is the front, but I find the bulgy curve will make things hard to cut holes, etc while keeping it neat and symmetrical at the same time. I'd like to hear your ideas and opinions on this. Thanks!

Haha...wow thats the most original case I've seen. How's your system running with that vacuum? Isn't it loud?

your right, the bulge does make for difficult ideas, but theres always the popular mods,...

side plexiglass windows...
neon lights inside...
LED baybuses...
you may be able to get rid of the whole bulge with a little thinking in favor of a grill and fan setup?... turn it into a rectangular area... well good luck... hope this little reply sparks some ideas...

thanks supradude,
I was thinking about that rectangle idea too. I don't know if you guys can see it in the picture or not, but the bulge is actually larger at the top than at the bottom of the front bezel. So its actually slanting inwards from top to bottom of the bulge. I'm afraid that if I do the rectangle idea, either my fans have to be placed at an angle, or the top of the fan have a canopy over it from the bulge. Any other ideas anyone?

i just modded a case that looked exactly like yours... it might have been the same case. i put a 120mm blowhole on top... a 120mm side intake hole, and a 92mm intake on the front where that bulge is. I dremeled a circular hole from the inside of the case where the bulge is, and placed a plastic mesh/grill where the hole is, and placed the fan in between the plastic grill and the metal part of the case. hope that helps. its possible to drill a circular hole for the fan where the bulge is. good luck

wow Chintan, I thought I was the only person in the world tryin to mod this case. Do you have any pictures of your case with the mods that you can email me with? I'm really curious as to how the front looks. and btw, so is the front of your bezel flat now? I really wanna see how it looks. Thanks.

got no pictures... but i can tell you that there is a slight bevel around the edges of the of the circle. just make sure you cut from the inside of the case on the front of it, and it should work fine. there should be also a metal grill on the metal part on the front of the case where a fan can go... i just placed a fan inbetween the plastic and the metal part of the case. there is a little gap created there b/c of the bulging part. i don't think you should have any problems. let me know if you need more help. i can't get any pictures of the case however..sorry about that. good luck

Thanks for the help, but I when I was looking inside of my case at the bulge, I realized that my grill for the fan holder is off centered from the middle of the case. Is yours like that too?

yeah... the grill for the fan holder if off centered from the hole you should cut in the front of the case. i just cut out the off centered grill on the case, and then cut a centered hole on the front of the case. the fan will rest a little off the left..but that's ok.

remember to cut from the inside on the plastic part of the case. it'll be messy. good luck
