Opteron 165 stepping - please advise

I have'nt been able to get a Opty 170 past 2.4!
I have a choice of

CCBWE 0607 UPBW or,

CCBWE 0534 MPMW

right now and would like to know if anyone feels one of these or any 939 chip
in the $ neighborhood will yeild my improved results. I've already put the money
into a good motherboard and memory...

0607 is among the worst

0534 isnt great, you want a CCB1E

0607 is flat out terrible, look for ccb1e or ccbbe

any word on 0604? I've got one, and it seems nice. but I've never tried to push it higher, and it will not go past about 2,550 without more than stock volts.

I would roll the dice and go with an OEM 165 from Monarch.

The odds are good you will get a 0609 or a 0610.

For $267 after the coupon its worth a shot.

I just ordered a 165 from monarch... if it's a good stepping I'm torn about keeping it or selling it as a known good stepping...

you are not going to get that much more for it as a good stepping, just keep it and take advantage of it.
