Opteron 170 TEMP Question HELP!!!

I have an Opteron 170. The bios on my EVGA Sli board reports 45C in idle. That is the lowest i've been able to get it with varying amounts of thermal paste. Does this seem high or is it normal? OR is my bio senser faulty?

ON stock cooling you should see 32-34 +10C above ambient.

Is it overclocked any? That's pretty high for an idle temp even if it is overclocked...I've got my 170 at 2.6 and idle around 36-37C...

Does the heatsink feel warm/hot to the touch? At that temperature, it should...if it doesn't, then probably either your heatsink isn't seated correctly, or the temp reading is incorrect...

yeah i think the sensor is off....i just plugged the opty into an old gigabyte board and got a reading of 38C...and no the heatsink isn't hot at all
