I came home at lunch to spend some time on hold with Page. After a few minutes, Edward came
on the line and and asked if I could verify an order. After giving him my order number, he confirmed
that I placed the order.
I then asked him if the item would actually ship, since my CC has already been charged.
He seemed "surprised" at my question and said it would be charged within 48 hours. I told Edward
that my CC had already been charged with flawless efficiency. He again seemed surprised that it had already been charged, after he actually read the details of my order.
I again asked if the item would ship, since the price was surprisingly low (rule-breaker I know, but seeing a charge within a couple of hours of the order raised some concerns, especially with this deal and some of the alleged questionable tactics that I've seen about Page in a few forums).
So Edward got to looking at my order in earnest and said "Oh...please wait a moment". He came back in about 6 seconds and said that the order has been canceled "due to a system crash this morning that affected some of our prices".
I drew blood from my lip to keep from laughing at his explanation.
After digging my teeth out of my lip, I inquired when I should see a refund on my CC. Edward replied it should be today or tomorrow.
So, being the nice guy I am, I'll give it an hour or so before I call the CC company to dispute the charge and have it reversed.

be shipped.
If there has been an authorization number from the Bank for the charge prior to your cancellation
request, we will void the authorization or reverse the charges.
