Outlook Express Problem

Win2K Pro, Outlook Express was operating fine this afternoon, but tonight, it now hangs at the splash screen, using 99% CPU Power!

I downloaded all the components and reinstalled again, but same problem.

Any ideas? Nothing was removed/altered.

It may be that your Message Store (by Default in the Application Data folder) has become corrupted. Back this up and delete all files and see if that solves your problem.

What version of Outlook Express/ Internet Explorer?
Do you have more than one Identity?

It's IE 6 SP1 with all the updates and I'm the only identity.

Actually, you've got me thinking now, I might just delete the folder and stuff, then reinstall it again.

It worked!

Ran Regedt and removed everything which was named Outlook Express, reinstalled and it's fine.

Strange how it got corrupted in the first place, though.
