Outlook XP sloooow

I know the fix to speed up outlook express with ms messenger disabled, but outlook in my MS Ofifce XP suite does not open with MS messenger disabled. Is there any fix for this ???
Why does it seem like Microsoft is trying to force MS messenger down our throats wether we like it or not?

Speed up outlook express, it might work for you though:
Open up regedit and search for:

{FB7199AB-79BF-11D2-8D94-0000F875C541}

Change the InProcServer32 and LocalServer32 default key to an empty string.

I already performed this procedure to speed up outlook express, which worked beautifully, but Outlook XP still won't open. Any more suggestions?

Did you uninstall Windows Messenger, or did you just tell it to stop loading and running at startup? It was my understanding that removing Windows Messenger from the system could make Outlook 2002 start very slowly. Is that what's happening?

Vadatajs above posted a Registry key for the Outlook Express. If you are using Outlook XP try searching for

E0B8F398-BB08-4298-87F0-34502693902E

I don't know if it is different on each machine, but if it is just open your event viewer and check the System Log for a DCOM error. In that error it will tell you what key is needing the InProcServer32 and LocalServer32 default keys set to empty.

Did you disable the Windows Messenger option from within Outlook? Look in Tools/Options/Other
