Im on a DFI LanParty UT 250GB with 1 stick of 512MB PC4000 Kingston HyperX. I've managed to get 235x10 on 1.525vcore and 2.8v on the Ram with timings at 3-4-4-8. I cant seem to get any higher.

2.7 GHz on stock vCore, but I'm lucky. Expect 2.5 if you're skilled in OCing and have a halfway decent chip. Maybe you'll be even luckier than I was.

I got 2.4 quite easily and I have no experience overclocking...didn't push it any further though because I'm happy with this speed.

A64 DTR 3000+ @ 2.7ghz (300x9) 1.65v. Will do 2.78ghz stable with 1.72v and load windows at 2.9ghz although it is not at all stable there.

My other A64 3000+ (older CO core - nuetered clawhammer) will do 2.5ghz stable with 1.78v. Have it at 2.3ghz at 1.55v on daily basis.

Pardon my A64 newbness.

Considering a A64 3000 Winchester to go with a soon-to-arrive K8N.

I see a couple people saying FSB x 10, but I thought the 3000 top-locked at 9?

*OC newbness to come

The older generation of A64s have different clocks than the Winchester.

I already posted my results in the A64 quick'n'dirty thread.

So another question, it seems everyone's using these piddly little amounts of memory in their systems to get these fantastic speeds. I have two 512MB sticks in my Asus A8V and therefore two empty slots left. How many of you are running with fully populated DIMM slots, and how has that affected your timing? I find it somewhat odd that my Asus M6Ne laptop with 2G RAM and 2GHz Pentium-M has more memory and faster stock clock than my new desktop system.
(Of course, I can't overclock my laptop's CPU, so while they're close in performance out of the box (super_pi) the A64 leaves the P-M in the dust now.)

Mine is currently up to 255x9 @ 2295 with PC4000 1gb Ballistix... i was a little disappointed last night as i cranked her to HTT: 265 and posted fine, SuperPI tested fine at 1mb and 2mb and was even running super cool (23c idle) - whille playing world of warcraft my ping would suffer and program would crash alot..
took it down a notch to 255 and my ping was better and no crashes - invesitgation is needed....

note i am only keeping stock volts on memory (2.8) and only raised cpu to +3.3% - im not a fan of over volting

does anyone know the official voltage that these 3000 chips can run at without harm/reducing life?

you are quite right - im not sure where Computer Man got x10 from since if he did boost it that much it wouldnt effect speeds since its locked...yes you are right - 3000 winnies are locked at x9

I have two gig in my A8V, all 4 dimms populated. The benchmarks run slightly slower, I'd say maybe 3%, if that. Like a 32M SuperPi time that takes 22 minutes, may take an extra 30 seconds with the 2 gig in there.
The Asus A8V gets stuck at 230mz, so don't expect anything big out of it, but it's a rock solid board.

Ok, that's fine.

I'm now getting 29:12 for 32M SuperPi. Winchester 3000+ @2537, HTT=281.96,Memory=211.47. If I cross the line to 282MHz HTT I get roundoff errors in SuperPi. Anyway, 2.5GHz is plenty fast for the work I'm doing. (mainly gcc...)
