Overclocking 2.4B: sound problems!

I am a pretty much a noobie to overclocking but i have done alot of reading I feel it is time to experiment alittle.... anyway here are my specs...

Abit BH7 mobo
Intel Pentium 4 2.4B CPU
512Mb of Cosair XMS PC2700

When i push my fsb to 140 mhz the sound is fine but when i go to 141 mhz the sound get choppy and i can only get that when i run my vcore at about 1.6v. after 140 mhz there is no sound, but i can up my fsb higher without the system crashing or bsod but i have no sound. i am afraid of pushing my vcore any higher b/c i am noob and don't want to fry the cpu just yet. If my cpu was stable without the sound working do you think i could add a sound card(I am currently using the onboard sound) to get back my noise?
Please let me know what you think i am open to any suggestions and help.....

There is one thing you need to do if you overclock, lock your AGP/PCI frequency in your BIOS. Your sound should work by then, if not, then I assume you are using onboard sound from this board. I have the same board and I just use an Audigy 1 Platinum.

Thanx man you are a savior, sound works great! i really appreciate it..... Just another quick question for ya, what temperatures do you go by. in the bios my temp for my cpu is 49.5 degrees but when i fire up motherboard monitor and Pc Wizard 2003 the cpu temp measures 33 degrees and my system temp measures 49.5.. thanx again
