Overclocking a fx-57 7800GTX

nice setup so far. except the corsair memory. but i think that has already been covered. as for the raptors, they are awesome, and they are reliable. i have had mine in a raid 0 setup for approx. 3 years and not a bit of trouble. and yes, 2 raptors in raid 0 load games alot faster than 1. at least that has been my experience. good luck

Actually RAIDing raptors cuts down on thier performance (the 36gb ones anyways, not so sure about the 74gb ones) and its a complete waste of money..... go for more storage or invest in a 15k SCSI setup, that way youll be getting your moneys worth

(the difference between my old RAID array with 2 raptors and my new single SATA2 Hitachi is at most 2-4 seconds when loading a BF2 map......... hell windows loads FASTER on the SATA2 drive then on the raptors)

Got my stuff on Monday, newegg forgot the thermal paste, it got here today. I will put the rig together on my next day off which was slated about 3 days ago, I think its gonna be saturday, then I'll run some benches after its put together and get your opinion if i need to switch out the ram and what not

Fresh Daemon: the improvements from the 53 to 55 were unsatisfactory compared to the 57, at this moment there isn't as much to improve on until 64-bit computing for software is used more (which is happenening exponentialy)

Screw dual core for this rig, I'm a gamer period ^_^ The overclocking is only because its that good of a rig, and it makes it so nice to mock all of your friends. Not most. All of them =P

Do you think a antec 480 true power would be sufficient? I happen to have one sitting around, otherwise I'll go purchase something different.

You can RMA the RAM and get a refund within 30 days.
