l own an fx 55 , l play games like far cry ,bfv, hl2, doom etc and its the best cpu ive ever seen, its accompanied by an x800xt and 2 gig of pc3200 ram, 4x 512 dimms, lve got my x800 s core at 533 and its mem at 555, ive had the fx55 overclocked but l believe for the gain its not worth the risk without hi cost cooling, lm in north queensland australia , l have 9 odd hi power 9000rpm fans in it now, it runs cool as , the way it should , the 3500amd l have overheats, l cant stop it, the 3200+ is l beleive a better 32 bit application cpu, l dunno but l would rate the 3500 at 3300, it was a dismall step up when l bought it ,the fx 55 has a totally crazy heat sink with heat pipes inserted into the heat sink itself at factory, if you get alot of cool air over it , its cooling abilities are quite good, never as good as water but whadda ya do, l run fraps , media player, and team speak, l record with fraps at 40 to 45 fps my vid settings are at mediem for recording andres 600x800, the cpu, sata hard disc s ,ram and mo board get a mad work out, and it doesnt lag, the 3200 could do it to but would lag spike on big pollygons, = cpu lag, l dont overclock the fx55, l will in the future as it dates but for now l see no need at all, it rocks as it is and id pit it against any intel with an x800...............
