I have an MSI K7t266 Pro2 Mainboard and an AMD Athlon Tbird 1ghz running at 1 ghz. I noticed a overclocking setting next to the FSB setting in the bios. I bumped it up to 140 and it says in windows properties that I am running a 1.05ghz chip. The system is stable and I played wolfenstein for a while then checked my temps and they were only 1 degree above average........36°/41° normally it is a consistant 35°/40° under full load. (I run a pretty cool system)
I was wondering, how far can I bump that setting up before I break something? How far can I go without having to do anything else to the chip and so forth?
I appreciate any answers.
Thanks
