Finally got around to overclocking my computer late last night or early morning. Currnetly im at 2800 mhz (stock cooling at 54C load) with x4 HTT, 255fsb, memory at ddr667 (my motherboard does dividers differntly for some reason) with 4-4-4-12 timings 2.2 volts. My HT link is pushing 1000 mhz at 1020 but i think its going to be OK.
I was . Its very werid to beucsae i can bring the timmwondering if there was anything i could do about my memory. I have tried loosing the timings all the way, even raising the volts to 2.5 . The ram will just barly go over 400mhz anything higher i get memory dump blue screensings. There seems to be no difference in overclocking ablities from stock timeings and loosend timings.
Anything else i might of missed to get this thing stable please let me no.
I have had this chip up to 3.0 mhz but the temps were pushing into the mid 60's so i didnt want to raise the vcore to make it 100% stable.
I also have no clue how to tell what speeds my memory is running, what ddr 2 speed
I will upload a cpu-z screenshot if somebody wants it.
