LOL, Illusion. Guys often seem to make that rule 'cuz their friends are just the regular jerks who brag about how many girls they scored. Once they realise it's their sisters that were possibly scored or are to be scored, then they freak out and get really upset. Of course there's also the risk of losing friendship with so much drama between your friend and your sister as bf/gf; and of course each asking you to take sides.

However, I do think it's possible to date a friend's sibling and have a great experience. If the friend treats people decently, respects them and doesn't count how many chicks he's scored, he could actually be the best for your sister ("your" is generic). I would date a guy who was the friend of my brother. And I would not discourage any daughters I had from dating the friend of her brother if I have reason to believe that he's a good and decent person.

In no way did I specify that I should go and kiss her or whatnot until someone brought it up in the thread. This thread on the other hand is totally different. He's already asking what's in his mind, which is "should I try to get laid with this virgin?" He even has a POLL asking everybody here what he should do.
