edit: oops
Don't know about the connector itself. The 182 still has standard speaker/mke jacks. However, the 182 supports both AC 97 and the new HD Audio standards. the wiring from the case has two connectors on it to go to whichever audio header on your MB. It's an either/or deal.
The cable management on the 182 is nice; you can route cabling behind the MB. Does a nice job of keeping cables away from the CPU and vid card.
There are two access holes in the back of the case, with rubber grommets, to support water cooling rigs.
The control switches for the top and upper rear tri-cool fans are mounted on the back panel of the case - very easy access. You still have to pop the left side cover to control the lower rear fan control.
My MB matched perfectly with the pre-done MB standoffs on the tray.
Overall, I think the positive reviews that this case has received are well deserved.
