P35-DQ6 vs. P35-DS4

Is the DS4 worth more? I know the DQ6 is "worth" more, but I like the fact that the DS4 has more USB in the back.

You can have the same number of USB ports on the back if you install the two PCI slot things (attach to mobo by cables) that come with the DQ6. Each slot thing has 2 USB ports.

Not being a smarta** but why do people need that many usb ports on the back of the mobo???

I figure with maybe ~4 you should be good to go especially since most cases have ~2 in them, alot of lcd monitors (at least the dells do) have ~2 in them plus usb hubs that can have 4 or 8, etc. on them. All of these would be more accessable than the ones on the rear of your case for things like flash drives, digital cameras, mp3 players.

Connected to USB ports on the back of my system are:

Keyboard (G15)
Mouse receiver (MX1000)
Printer (Xerox Phaser 6100D)
UPS
Monitor
Cellphone interface cable

...that's 6. There would be a seventh - Plantronics Bluetooth USB audio adapter - but I keep it plugged into one of the keyboard's USB 1.1 ports.
