Hey
I just picked up one of these and would like to start a thread with overclocking results on the P4 2.66.

Please Post Processor info (batch, version, etc - if possible)
Motherboard + Memory
FSB + Vcore, Vmem
Best Stable OC result

I'll post mine when I get it setup (hopefully by Nov.15).

Also, for those of you that have not seen it, there is a great article/review on the 2.66 HERE.

Cheers

SL6DX, Pack Date 10-04-02, Malaysia, FPO/Batch #L227B133

Asus P4B533E, Corsair 2 x 512MB @ DDR400

FBS @ 150 (3.00Ghz) Vcore 1.55, Vmem 2.7

Didn't even try for higher FSB. My 2 sticks of RAM won't run faster than DDR400 at CL2.5-3-3-7.

This was my second 2.66 SL6DX. My first one had a late August pack date and wouldn't go over 143FSB, even with 1.75Vcore.

Thanks for the info RalfHutter!

Where did you get your second P4 2.66 from? Mine shipped today from Googlegear. I did check Intel's site and found out all 2.66's are C1 stepping.

Nah I didn't forget, the AGP/PCI was set to Fixed. I was testing with a 1:1 ratio on how high I could get the 2.66 up to stable. After i got stable results at 160FSB 1.70Vcore, I tried the 4:5 CPU/DRAM ratio. WinXP Pro Booted, then crashed while logging in and somehow hosed my whole Windows directory. Sucks too because I just converted all my drives to NTFS last week and its a bitch to run the install over with all SCSI CD-Rom drives. I know how to do it but it just requires work.

While I'm at it I think I'm going to re-do my whole drive configuration and use RAID.

Glad its the weekend

SL6EH, Pack Date 9/18/02, Costa Rica, FPO/Batch#: 3234A294, Version#: C10945-001

Tried to push it hard right off the bat. Posted and got into Windows at 1.60FSB 1:1 ratio, 1.70Vcore. When I tried setting ratio to 4:5, It seemed to work and I could boot into WinXP, but I crashed a few times and then my Windows directory got hosed.

After a complete reinstall, I'm running conservatively at 145 FSB (2900mhz), 4:5 ratio, default voltages. Ran Sisoft Sandra 2002 Burn-in on a loop last night (550x CPU Arithmetic and Memroy bench). No errors, highest CPU temp 39C.

I'll let the AS3 set in and continue to run it at this speed for the next week or so. Its rock stable and I'm really impressed on the CPU Temps of this 2.66. Idle is 31C, load (as stated above) is 39C.

I'd really be interested if other people who have a 2.66 can post their pack date, etc, and OC results.

Thanks

Sisoft Sandra 2002 Burn-in is a complete joke.
youd get a better burn in using Solitaire.....

Right, I just wanted to run something on a loop other than Prime95. I know you don't believe in burn-in at all though

You should be running Prime95 on a loop anyway. It'll test the stability of your OC, and if you believe the theory, "cure" your ASIII at the same time.

After you've run Prime95 for 24hrs+ you should run Memtest86 for another 24+ hrs to test the stability of your memory OC.

Ok, I've had the P4 2.66 about a week.

Tried it on two different mobos, Epox 4G4A+ and Asus P4PE.

I can get processor up to about 3200ghz (160FSB), but not stable. I can boot into Windows XP, but no matter what voltage I use, I get errors in Prime 95.

I can get up to 145FSB at default voltage with no errors in Prime95. 150 FSB at +0.25, +0.50, +0.75, +1.00 voltage gives me errors in Prime95. So wierd. I'm thinking of RMA'ing it for a 2.53 or a 2.4. I was hoping on being able to use at least 150FSB stable or maybe 160 FSB or higher. I've got a P4 1.6A that I can use while waiting for the RMA.

There have to be more of you that have P4 2.66's. Can you please post your results/chip info so we can see if all 2.66's aren't a great OC chip? It could be just me.

Thanks
