Mobo: Asus P4b533-V
Cpu: Intel P4 2,26b
CPU cooler: Swiftech MCX478B
PSU: Chieftec 330 V
Ram: Corsair XMS 3200 v2.1
Agp: Gainward Geforce4 Ti4400
Just finished putting my pc together, works great and all but my cpu temps are too hot! Idle temps are at 52 - 60 C, load 70 C..
Thought it might be the cpu cooler not having good contact with the cpu, so I took the Swiftech off and cleaned up and put it back on with AS II. Made sure it had proper contact. It made no difference, the cpu is still HOT..
The voltage in bios looks weird also.. The +12 line is about 11,96, the 3V jumps fast between 3 and 11V (!). The Cpu is fine at 1,5V.
I'm thinking that the problem might be the PSU, but am abit unsure.. Can the +3 at 11v be a bug with the bios ? Is the mobo showing wrong temps ?
Bought this combo to oc, but have to get my temps/readings strait first. Help is greatly appreciated!
