P4M On A P4 Laptop ?

I have an Inspiron 9100 with a Pentium 4 @ 2.8Ghz (Prescott) (800Mhz FSB) (Socket 478?). I've seen some P4M's and PM's for sale here and was wondering what might happen if I tried to install one into my system.

I don't want to get too into why or if I should, I'm just wondering from a technical aspect if it's possible.

They are pin-incompatible.

Really, both are incompatible? I thought one or the other might be but I wasn't sure, I thought it would come down more to FSB speed and voltage.

If you happen to know, which pins does each CPU use, and am I correct that mine is a 478?

They're both 478 but the pins are positioned differently.
