Posted this in the official topic for the mobo as well but figured I'll try again here. Just finished building my new pc today and nothing happens when I push the power button. The green led on the mobo flashes but other than that nothing else is happening, no fans spinning, etc. Any suggestions would be gladly appreciated.

Do you get a post? If not, try using only 1 stick of ram first. Also, when you get a post, what bios version? Maybe looking on the sticker of the bios chip can tell you what version shipped with that board.

Unfortunately I get nothing when I push the button. I tried the one stick of ram as well and nothing happened. I believe the bios is 1305 according to the bios chip so luckily my processor hopefully isn't the problem.

Is the LED on, and when you push the power button it flashes. or is it off, and flashes when you push the power button?

Have you checked your PSU?

I tested the psu earlier using the paperclip method and called Asus who told me to unplug everything from the mobo that wasn't vital which I had done yesterday except for the soundcard and the usb connectors I had plugged in. Anyway after plugging everything back in, it turns out that it was the usb pluggins for the case causing the problem. The extra ones I plugged in included with the mobo work though. I'm grateful that it was something minor like that as opposed to having to rma the mobo or something else.
