It's because of flamewars with CSR's from people like us that 965 owners are even able to get a beta bios for 45nm....
the first email was at the bottom...
Where do not know where the bios was obtained from, beta bios are only testing bios which will not be official. There are no guarantee on stability with the beta bios which you are using.

Question : Mine is 3.3 the newest revision of the 965 that you made. Anyway, i already found a beta bios with 45nm support. It's made from your bios engineers in germany. I dont know if these are official gigabyte drivers, but it was done on the gigabyte germany forum by an OFFICIAL GIGABYTE MODERATOR. So its obvious your boards support 965. and its also obvious your coorporation wants more money and big profits!!!!!
Everyone is boycotting Gigabye and using ASUS because of Greed!!!
Answer - 558211
Answer : Other manufacturer's 965 boards may support the 45nm processors, because they are newer revisions, recently released. Their older revision (of the same model) may definately does not have support for 45nm processors.

Question : I am a GIGABYTE CUSTOMER!
Gigabyte should offer support to its customers the same way you offer excellent products to the DIY and enthusiast consumer markets. ASUS & MSI, & DFI are offering excellent products of the same quality of GIGABYTE motherboard solutions. These products are given support via BIOS updates for use of the new intel processors. Gigabyte not following the direction of these leaders and forcing its consumers to purchase new versions of Gigabyte boards sends a message to the DIY computer user across the world: avoid GIGABYTE because of poor bios support and overall customer satisfaction. It is a fact that intel 965/ICH8/9/8r can support 45nm cpus. Obviously you are upsetting the customer to make more profit. It is also a fact that your coorporation will lose sales and reputation due to these malicious acts against the people. I will personally speak the truth on many computer forums of which i am a member until your customer support provides a reason or truth to this matter of why your 965 is incompatible with 45nm processors. Protect your good Gigabyte Reputation for the long term. THIS give you more profits than a crappy marketing scam.
Thank you

Question : I have compatibility issues with 4 pci cards... 1. an ieee1394 firewire card, 2. wifi card 3. lan card 4. pci ide controller card. All 4 of these devices show an error code 10 (device cannot start) in device manager. I have since given up on trying to get them to work after several different attempts at reconfigurations and xp sp2 reformats. My final question is this: will my board support 45nm socket 775 intel core2duo "wolfdale" e8400 dual core processors?
I harrassed them cuz i knew there would be a bios for it. but after they kept turning me down, i sold my board. literally 48hrs later, a link on that german forum came up for the download.
